Wikileaks Diplomatic Cables

Saudi Arabia hate Iran and Turkey, SA feel uncomfortable by their influences. Unknown reasons.

Pakistan should cut ties with S.Arabia to shut down extremists and other terrors. Cut off SA's head of the snake!

Oh..I think the reason is very clear.Arabs think they are the leaders of the Muslim world.

significant numbers of iranians work in kuwait, uae, bahrain and qatar and if iranians were deemend threat they wouldnt be allowing them to work in their respective countries. The kind of leaks released show the that they are nothing but psy-ops for certain political agenda.

my experience concurs with Jackdaw's view point.

I am not bothered..but it is curious that you are more interested in explaining away an insulting remark from a Saudi King towards your own President than defending your own executive who was voted in by Pakistanis.

What is the point in asking 'you guys are not bothered' i replied why are you bothered that we are not bothered!

While i failed to find any insulting remark even in this heavenly news!

Later i posted few incidents with real insulting remarks from states where Zardari's is stashing stolen wealth from Pakistan namely India, UK and US.
Not to mention his son is residing there with humiliation. His own son don't care what UK P.M. and society says about his father than why does we bother?

Did i miss any thing?

BTW...you are bothered a lot when you are repeating same remark every time you post.

If the U.S. is talking about the highly-enriched uranium material from the U.S.-supplied PARR-1 reactor then the U.S. is within its rights to demand proper accounting for this stuff, especially since PARR-1 was decommissioned. PARR-1 was supplied under the "Atoms for Peace" program and its materials are not, by agreement, supposed to be used for military purposes. Now we have the spectre of lots of HEU just waiting to be picked up by terrorists in a non-secure facility - apparently, deliberately kept non-secure.

And the implication from the released documents is that some of this stuff is missing!

This is bad for Pakistan. Any nuclear terrorism anywhere in the world, Pakistan may be assumed to be the "home address" of the terrorists. Can you see, in your mind, the major cities and military installations of Pakistan being programmed into the nuclear missile targeting lists of France, Russia, and Britain? How long would that take, one week?

It isn't just the "head" that's rotten. Pakistan could have quietly returned this stuff half a decade ago. It wouldn't have altered the Pakistani nuclear weapons program one bit, but it would have greatly increased Pakistan's credibility as a reliable partner. All down the drain because some Pakistani bureaucrats worried about possible sensationalism.

he wasn't wrong either! In the long term with our own regional specific policies and a better leadership in Iran and re-emergence of turkey we are going to see a significant shift in arabis relation..the fifty year old feat will repeat once again as arabis will grow closer to india and we will grow closer to our traditional geostrategic links ranging from persia, turkey to central asia..

It never cease to amaze how is it allowed to insult Saudi King.

I wonder what will happen if i remark another nation's head as snake...

poor moderation

BTW... naive members please.. note this is not first time it happened always such remarks are passed by Indians hiding behind foreign flags.

While I agree with the King of KSA, I don't need his words or confirmation to assert what 175 million Pakistanis have believed for ages now

This is nothing but BS.What makes you think that such things are dilebretly kept non secure.??

If US is so concerned abt this then why it deliberately let Blaspheme ZIA Regime to get away with it.

You guys do not care that your president is called names by an outsider "king"?

If democratic institutions fail the common people, people would not mind an outsider monarch calling their elected leader names.

As much as I despise Mr. 10%, I don't agree. Military dictatorship, regardless of the capability of the leadership, was more of an obstacle to Pak progress than democracy under Zardari. The difference has to do with the consensus-type politics of the military. Without civilian leadership, this automatically favors conservatism and inflexibility. Decisive political decisions that could cause division within the ranks were impossible, so a sustained offensive against terrorist elements (which carried the possibility of career failure for the officers involved, if unsuccessful) was out of the question until Zardari arrived on the scene.

His excellency King of Saudi Arabia and watch your mouth same can be thrown back at your face as well.
