Realistic worst care scenarios for Indian Muslims

This forum seems to be bursting at the seams with all sorts of allegations being leveled against non Muslim Indians, Hindus in particular, about the 'fascist' takeover of our government by 'far right' 'genocidal' maniacs in the form of the BJP, led by a 'mass murderer' in the form of PM Modi and how the Muslims of India are being marched off to the ovens or something... all much common themes if one browses around here a bit.

It's pretty easy to understand where such vitriol comes from given the complicated history of India, spl when it comes from our western neighbours but as an Indian who has lived in India most of his life, and keeps a keen eye on the political goings on here, I see no evidence of such a thing in the works.

Nobody is looking for any sort of 'final solution' here as far as I can tell.

Are there problems ? Sure, plenty.

Are Indian Muslims at any risk of being rounded up and disposed off wholesale, being denied their statehood or rights as citizens ? Hell no !

Just looking to get an idea of what people who actually believe in the 'fascist genocidal Hindus' narrative fear will happen, and maybe a timeline too.. how far are we from the peak, what happens when we get there.. etc

so are you suggesting that the Gujrat massacre did not happen?

the Babari Masjid was not destroyed?

why do we keep hearing in the India media that Muslims were killed on the mere rumor of cow eating?

why are Muslims constantly asked to move to Pakistan, according to Indian media?

a genocide of Muslims is very possible in India, in the current climate. It could be both internal or external reason.

To show parallels do look at the Rajwand’s genocide.

Dude, even Irafan Pathan was receiving hate on twitter recently, the hate is multiplying thanks to media and state though BJP is looking in a damage control mode recently.

Replying to any Pakistani Muslim who has hatred for India and Hinduism is just pointless. They always reply with some cheap things. Almost all the replies are of their dream of conquering India, cow piss drinkers, idol worshippers, etc. It's just the same thing again and again. It gets boring after a while.

@Chhatrapati @Nilgiri @Joe Shearer @Jackdaws @aryadravida @dharmi @Suriya @Secularindian @jamahir @Raj-Hindustani @GHALIB

I will say that too many people on the internet are uneducated, whether it's about provoking Indian Muslims to carve out a new country or those tweets referred to by humbl. that have a person saying to Irfan Pathan - "are nikal lawde" and another saying ( in Hindi ) - "arey maulana thaari gaan itni kyun jal rahi hai".

Oh really? You don't have any counter arguments, so you resort to make wild allegations.

Typical Banyas.

Actually, I am not a Bania (or a Banya, if you prefer). Against a bottle of soda water, no arguments are needed; we just need to let the gas dissipate. You are dissipating rather well, no need to interfere.

One of the most realistic worst-case scenarios is the second partition of the Hindutva heart. Indian territory is destined to be divided, conquered and fragmented over and over again - but every time it happened, it happened because of hatred of the majority - yes the Hindus of India.

There is another realistic scenario for India and that is India becoming another Iraq where the entire country collapses into civil war and instead of one state, 32 states exist with their own National languages, flags, and several of them claim to be "real India".

Had someone imagined in 2010 that this will happen to India? Let's offer a big thanks to Major Narandra Modi.

It is also necessary to remind drive-by Sanghis like @dharmi that his kind of flippancy breeds a confidence within the hard-core, and he contributes to their toxic confidence. It isn't clever. He still thinks, like his Pakistani counterpart, of playing to the gallery.

Pity.

As horrible as they were, they are still isolated incidents.

There were consequences for Hindu temples in Pakistan at the time in the wake of the Babri demolition too, no ?

Just savagery all around, it's terrible.

What Rwandan nonsense ? Second guy to use that as an analogy.. We are not Hutu and Tutsi and some ombagombas.. We build things:

One of our main rocket and missile guys was a Muslim too. I'm sure you know.

Actually, @jamahir, we need to get the marginally involved Indians, the decent blokes who just don't want to get into fire-fights, involved; losing these social media and Internet deliberations by default is losing yet another bridgehead. Without collusion, and without building lobbies within PDF, we need to get them to participate more actively, on the side of good sense and civility, at the very least, if not to refuting the arguments of the committed hard-core right wing.

I must say that early in his membership, @dharmi and I exchanged a few interesting posts about the Ba'athist systems in Iraq and Syria which were secular. But now I mostly see him, as you said, playing to the Saffron gallery. But yes, he also agrees that in India, religious sounds on loudspeakers must be banned. So it's a fifty-fifty.

"Was" is a very relevant word in your dictionary. India was secular, India was accommodating, India was growing, India was tolerant, India was a country worth investing in. Tch! Not anymore. :undecided:
No ?

"was" because, sadly, he is no more.

Great man, APJ Kalam, aapko sadaev salaam !

Loving trying to knock some sense into the doomsday crowd.

All is fine (or, as bad as it's ever been) in India, the Muslims will be fine, there is no great threat to them.

What's the problem posting on my profile? The whole world and their aunts do it.
