Bahawalpur : College Professor Brutally Murdered By His Student

If you forcibly stop people from practicing what they want then You’re ‘enforcing values’. So long as attending this function was not ‘mandatory’ it should have been allowed to proceed. Those who didn’t consider it ‘Islamic’ could have simply chosen not to attend.

The two are not equivalent at all - liberals in Pakistan argue, peacefully, for the freedom of individuals to practice what they wish whereas religious extremists in Pakistan argue for enforcing their backward and regressive views on everyone, and use violence and intimidation.

Liberals stand for freedom whereas religious extremists stand for tyranny of one set of values and beliefs over al others.

Asking for people to have the freedom to practice what they want is not linguistic terrorism. There is only one kind of terrorist - the violent kind, and those ones are almost exclusively religious extremists and therefore the only ones deserving of death.

This is an openly declared Islamic society, as such it has a certain ideology, moral codes, norms of decency, etc deriving from Islam and its cultural background which it seeks to preserve and promote. If someone or a group is promoting or encouraging behavior that is openly against the principles of the society, like fornication/adultery, promiscuity, homosexuality, then that is a serious offense they are committing (ideological, moral subversion of the nation). If the ones promoting such behaviors happen to be professors, then that is not just an offense, but also a betrayal of the trust the society has placed on them.(Places like LUMS are organizing events like "Queer Futures", normalizing homosexuality in people's minds).

You don't like parties? Don't got to parties.
You don't like the way certain women dress? Don't look at them.

They're not forcing others to engage in their values, they're asking for people to respect everyone's values and the freedom to practice what they wish.

Telling people to simply ignore it and look the other way may apply to an openly godless western society but not here. People gave a lot of sacrifices to create and preserve an Islamic state. Promoting or tolerating such moral degeneracy affects the society as a whole and it amounts to a stab in the backs of the silent majority
If such is happening, it is the state's job to take notice of it and sort it out, if the state fails to do its job, then the people may loose confidence in the government's ability or intention to safeguard the nation's ideological, moral frontiers, people may get riled up, some may take law in their hands and things getting ugly.
One can tell.. people are getting uneasy, defensive, on edge. Are some forces trying to create civil strife in this society? They failed to do so using the Khawarij, now activating sleeper cells in the universities/colleges to launch a different type of attack? Perhaps another aspect of 5 th generation warfare.

Right ... so a party was taking place which he did not approve of ... and instead of not going to this party due to his personal beliefs he decided to murder another human being ...

Sickens me that people are defending this guy and his mentality (de facto). But of course speak against this and somehow you are anti-Islam as per some people.

That's not how the original Muslims practiced Islam.
They painstakingly and lovingly translated aristotle and other "kafir" philosiphers. They had the Quran and sunna, but went into the world to seek knowledge.

BTW, if you truly believe what you say, you need to stop using electricity, cars, and the rest of modern science. It was all invented by kafirs.

I doubt you will, so please don't expect others to follow you until you start to live by your own ideals.

Why are you so angry?
Is your ideology so weak that you think I can destroy it with a few questions?

Ok, I will stop using Cars, electricity, natural gas, but pray explain, who were Jabir ibn e Hayan? Who Was Al Khawarizimi? Who was Ibn al Haitham?

You DO KNOW that how our libraries were smuggled to Europe and were destroyed!
In fact, whenever, Muslims tried to excel in the Sciences, it looks like they were deliberately invaded and pushed towards degeneration!

Complete Revival of Islam means complete Implementation of Islam in letter & spirit! And this should go according to Teachings of Holy Quran and Sahih Muslim and Shahih Buhkhari (Sahiheen). Remember loose interpretation and strict interpretation!

And one more thing: I do read Aristotle, Antonio Gramsci, Karl Marx,J.S Mill, Hegel, Kant, Burke and all other Isms, and all other Crap. Even my father aspired great from Communism, when you were busy in waging Jihad against Soviets!

But I have come to conclusion after 30 long years that Islam is the only safe passage!

Sure, you know about the Life of Jean Jacques Rousseau!

Again, why are you people go aggressive?
Would you get this aggressive of I said I didn't like peanut butter?

As for what you said, are you doing everything but addressing my points.

You are saying I'm not well read.
You are saying there are conspiracies against Islam.
And you are saying "trust me, I read other books"

What you are not telling me is how can we build airplanes using the Quran and Sunnah only.
You're not telling me how we can cure polio using the Quran and Sunnah only.

It is obvious you have a deep love for your faith, and everyone needs to respect that. And you have to respect other forms of thought.

The secular West has given you everything you have, right down to the technology to print the beloved Quran. Maybe they are on to something with this whole secularism this?

In my opinion we have two options for our future.
Stick with Quran and Sunnah and let the world pass is by. Which also means our civilization will always be at the mercy of others.
Or adapt and take the parts of secularism that will work for us, and create a secular society with Islamic values.
Personally I like the second option because I never want to let go of my Islamic values.

How easily a narrow minded retard has taken a human life. And people are left discussing should mixed gatherings be allowed. This is how much we value a human life.

Ban on mixed gathering would always come from people who are weak in controlling themselves, who just look at women as some sex toys and nothing more. Really insecure sexually frustrated people ..... potential sexual harassers.

Lack of sporting venues and healthy activities will keep promoting this activity. Young minds not only need academic education, they also need at least 3 hours of daily tiring physical activity. A strong confident mind and body won't that easily fall prey to sexual fantasies.

I hope the justice gets served.

No one is defending his actions, he is a criminal and should face the death penalty.

The issue we are discussing is the rising immorality of our society. Even if this party was innocent, can we deny that promiscuity and abuse doesn’t occur at these kinds of events?

We are suffering from cultural assault at all angles, from Hollywood and India, even our own dramas.

Our society is facing negative influences which are against the spirit of Islam.

The solution is not violence, but to convince people in a peaceful manner through lectures, social media, and networking to reject unhealthy habits and embrace constructive, morally sound lifestyles.

These principles are enshrined in our constitution.

“They are utterly deaf, dumb, and blind; they can no longer recover.” (Al-Baqarah 2:18)

Religion doesn't need Science, It is "Science" Which needs "religion"
That's why Albert Eisnstein said
"Science without religion is lame and religion without science is blind"

Again, does not answer my question.
There are a hundred sects of Islam who can correctly claim to follow what you quoted.

Don't take your the wrong way because I am genuinely asking, but your answers are non answers that politicians say when they don't have an answer.

Bro, the differences between sects are non differences. The scholars of the ahle sunnah consider any of the 4 sunni madhabs completely correct, as well as the jafari Shia sect. There are some differences between us and the Shia, us and the wahhabis, but they are 1% not 99%. Deobandi and barelvi are both under the fold of ahle sunnah, there are only individuals who have either held and propagated contentious beliefs or are seen to have held or propagated contentious beliefs. Islam has scope for plurality - it has never been my way or the highway.

People taking the law into their own hands are criminals and terrorists and must be dealt with as such. No one has the same interpretation of 'Islam'. I see absolutely nothing wrong with a welcome party for both men and women. It is people with a depraved mindset, who are unable to control themselves, that have problems with these things.

Millions of people did not sacrifice blood and treasure for Pakistan so that Pakistan could be turned into an intolerant, backward and regressive country based on the distorted and hate-filled interpretations of Islam by certain Mullah's.

The path of people like the man who murdered the professor, Lal Masjid Mullahs and Rizvi of the TLP will turn Pakistan into the likes of Somalia and Afghanistan. The path to prosperity lies in tolerance, respect for others beliefs and values and freedom and creativity, like the Western nations, Turkey and Malaysia. Not this bearded, Mullah barbarism that supports child marriages, punishment for 'fashionable beards', music, TV and a segregation of the sexes.

And the terrorist glorification by the retard, terrorist, Rizvi/Qadri brigade has started.

Their madrassa's should be declared 'special schools', to reflect the mentally handicapped and retarded mindset of the people who teach and study there.

But they already have demonstrated the ability to set the social agenda. So what does your comment imply for the general population?

I understand your concerns bro I agree with some of it but the problem is the that just like in the ((Kosher)) infected West they want conflicts between the traditional class and modern/liberal class what happen to when we did not give a shit what people did but they were our Pakistani brothers we need to go back to those times
