The relation with russia-pakistan may improve, but co-operation is insignificant mainly because of 'India factor'+ China already dominated pakistan market and russia don't find much space in that small market.

Russians are not that fool to keep every thing in one basket called 'China'.They work with India,China,Europe(though relation not that good now a days) for the sake of Russian economy keep on going...

1. Can you place order defense equipment with Russia, like India do?
2. Do pakistan have major oil industry to co-operate on that sector ?
3. Do pakistan have major diamond industry to co-operate with Russia like Indians do?

Pakistan market totally dominated by Chinese, be in any sector.

Russia even ready to sell S400 missile defense system, though Chinese don't like it
Russia might improve relation with pakistan, but co-operation is insignificant.

We will get whatever we can from Russia. Be it fighter jet engines, helicopters etc. We don’t expect Russia to sell their fighters overnight, but as relations improve, which already are, we can expand cooperation in every field.

What we are really looking for with Russia is economic cooperation. Russia will eventually join the CPEC project and increase its footprint in Pakistan. Russia and China can also help Pakistan to build gas pipelines. There is a good reason why Russia is so eager and cheerful about CPEC.

Russia views Pakistan and India independently. Although, India is very desperate to lump their economic and defense relations with anti-Pakistan conditions. The world has moved on buddy. You need to wake up and smell the coffee.

You can have as much money and people as you like. Certain geopolitical incentives and interests cannot be bought with money. You should know that by now since Pakistan Russia relations are light years differently to what they once were.

Viewing the Pakistan Russia relation through the India spectrum is like hiding your head like an ostrich to pretend it isn’t happening.

Enmities transform into friendships and friendships change into enmities. Nothing is guaranteed in the world of politics. Russia will continue its relationship with India. Russia will also improve its relations with Pakistan. India cannot hold any nation strangled and hostage due to their personal grief with Pakistan LOL Just because India is paranoid and anti-Pakistan doesn’t mean that all other countries will tow your line.
