Yeah you actually tried to figure out a general condition. But it can go complex or worse. I have no problem with BNP. But this Govt should ensure some death of their leadrs. Its really important.
Recently there is a tone of awami leaders bothers me a lot. They say they will do rest of judgement if we re-elect them.
Term of this Govt is way too good than others in terms of economic growth.
But they failed in matter of chatro-league and not to handle well with the law-enforcement.

The main thing is that we have economic growth to feed our 150 million people.

Life is getting better slowly (regardless of which mafia-party is in power).

Hartals and student violence is decreasing. At least we are not like the Arab countries where there is no democracy and there is civil war e.g. Syria, Iraq, Libya or terrorism-affected Pakistan.

Chatro-League are definitely thugs and though on this forum the Jamatis/rezakars are more aggressive and abusive, in real life Awami thugs are far more ruthless and brutal than Shibir (Jamati student wing).

As for rezakar/Jamati leaders, well put it this way in my area (I'm from a part of Sylhet) the Pakistanis killed a lot of people in 1971, so we suffered too. However we have to look to the future and the rezakar/Jamati leaders are all old and on the verge of dying naturally anyway (e.g. Azam) so whether they die by court or by nature their time is ending soon.

Every day that Bangladesh exists on this earth is a day of pain and nightmare for Jamatis/rezakars. That in itself is major punishment.

Had this been written by anyone else other than Khaleda Zia this would have been a brilliant article. I think that it is quite inappropriate for KZ to talk about saving democracy since those that actually did take action to save democracy were punished while the BNP remained silent as did the Jamaat-e-Islami. Now that both parties are the victims of AL oppression and brutality they are talking about saving democracy again!

You are correct that neither BNP nor Jamaat raised any strong opposition while those saved our back were punished. Many mid level BNP leaders I had spoken to had been frustrated about BNP's inaction (At that time I was in Dhaka). But at the top, BNP was indifferent. BNP leadership loosing credibility by looking other way from street pulse. With all indications BNP heading for self destruction before Awami League get to them fully.

Many leftist intellectuals at the time were killed by the Indian Army and the Mujib Bahini. We only know one side of the story - the atrocities committed by the PA. We only know half of what actually happened in 1971. Its about time to look at the activities of the IA, Mujib Bahini and Mukti Bahini during the war. War crimes were committed on all sides ......

I denied it and asked for the proof. But none of the dalals stepped up to show gut as of yet. BTW, did you even know the wordily meaning of genocide? Since U were claiming that PAK army and Bihari committed genocides then any sane one knew the meaning of genocide would laugh at U, I guess. I lost 2 of my finest relatives (Dada and Chacha) to a Hindu-criminal cum Mukti-terrorist and then another close one became blind (Dadi) by crying before perishing away. The irony was that no one knew the exact reason why they were blind folded and thrown at river by that Hindu.
