What's new

Zero tolerance for anti-India activities: Dhaka.

1.We will never surrender Anup Chetia. It is in our national interest to support wholeheartedly the NE freedom-fighters. Their and our security concerns are same.

Is that official?

2. Now even Hasina has discovered what even a rickshaw-walla in BD knew all along. Indians are liars and cheats. The latest being Woman Mohan Sigh who lied to us blatantly on the Teesta issue in his recent Dhaka visit. Ever since the signing of the Mujib-Indira Pact, 1974, India or Indian leaders have not remained truthful to any of their commitments, agreements or promises.

Tista and the transit issue are two completely different things. In fact, Tista doesn't have all that much water in it.

3. Before going for reporting/infraction, prove me wrong. Tell me one instance where India has remained faithful to her words.

India is still a third-world country, developing and has a long, long way to go to become fully developed and industrialized. The wars in Pakistan and the war with China only made things difficult for them. Jingoism seems to be in the Indian matrix of leadership.
Couple that with corruption and grinding poverty.

It seems to be that the intention for India to overshadow Bangladesh's long term prosperity and development (which can act as a bridge between South Asia and South East Asia) is there, and it will be that way for a very long time. This is their policy. We must resist such attempts and look after our own interests.

And supporting ULFA will not necessarily solve that problem in a strict sense. In fact, there are far bigger players behind the support of ULFA. I don't understand why the Indian fanboys here just keep pointing fingers at Bangladesh making it appear as if that the GoB alone funded and organized ULFA. This is a factually erroneous assumption. You see, this is what happens when a country is weak.

As far as security is concerned, we must seek as many interests with other powerful nations. It's a shame that our lobbying abilities in countries like the US is weak. The Middle Eastern countries are very important as well. And of-course, there is China and possibly the SCO.

And this is to contain the Indian version of Jingoism and look after our own interests. And we certainly cannot do that all alone.
