Youths protest against democracy

making mountain out of mole. nothing more.

the guys seen in pic and we also know not even more than 10.

if with that they they can bring in what you claim them well my chawani, ataniz in pashto and two cents in English, one takka and so on ;)

Lol Janashah back to her sarcastic best, sudharjao.

thnx for the help but this is a protest against democracy what Kashmir and India has to do with it

well no not exactly against democracy. its all an amalgamation of different issues against and over which they are protesting as the placards are clearly mentioning few issues including Afia, davis , kashmir, system of governance etc etc

brother this organisation advocates military coups in Muslim countries for bringing change which is a flawed idea specially coming from an organisation which is working for throwing elected governments around the world and impose its system of governance.

the rational understanding is that while based in UK and other countries eating up their resources and planning a coup or change there makes them traitors

At best this is not what they have told me... they dont want any coup and this is actually a very common misperception about them... Their strategy is much more detailed than a coup and imposition... trust me I have looked at their literature in detail and even spoken to their members in the UK...

As for elected governments... haha... sister... You know what the public wants done with them...

Hang em high!!!

all those who want to manipulate youth will tell you emotional things and not the real agenda. i had been through it and i have no doubt we dont need emotional goons.

as far as elected governments are concerned if people are done with them then they will change them through ballot not gun.

why hang them ? we are not living in jungle

I m not a youth... I m not emotional... I can tell when someone has ulterior motives...

As far as elected governments are concerned... well you should do a survey on this... You are a journalist... get some help... You ll be surprised how much of a jungle our country really is...

There is no harm cutting the head of the snakes that have destroyed this country...

I m more compasionate though... I say just jail them ;)

The comments section of this news was disturbing. Most of them were supporting these guys. They want democracy to end.

I think we need to seriously look at ways of how to govern Pakistan.........Democracy just may not be for us.......Just because other countries enbrace it does not mean it must be forced upon others, China seems to get along, and maybe, a Khilafa is the right way forward, as long every rag tag Imam doesn't stand up thinking he can issue a fatwa here there and everywhere.........the true Islamic system allows freedom of speech (to an extent, as long as it does not insult others), it allows women to work and actively encourages education for all genders........

We are at a cross road and in urgent need of self soul searching now..........

Whatever the path, we must live with the huge responsibilty that we are now a Nuclear Power, and that also carries commitment.........

I became rather disturbed rather, when I saw the Iranian news channel PRESS TV yesterday airing footage of Libya and the Middle East uprising which they titled "Islamic awakening"...........

I second all of what Gazzi has written... and to comment further, what is the use of expressing ideas when the status quo that is not delivering, remains...

Pakistan is fast going towards the route of an Islamic Caliphate... the problem with us is that since we for most purposes associate Islam with either Iran, Taliban or Saudi Arabia, we get scared and close our ears to what is being actually said... These young men are obviously not stupid... true emtional but still not stupid and it would be better if they are given an open platform to discuss what is it that they actually want... sort of saying Doodh Ka Doodh and Pani Ka Pani...

Our dilemma as a nation is that we are confused... we know that dictatorships as well as democracy have not delivered anything to our country and its people... we have next to zero civil infrastructure... our majority is uneducated... we are playing with disaster with a man like Zardari as the President... no wonder why these youth are frustrated and standing up for change... now either we can do this in a civilized way... initiate debates... not intimidate people left right and centre... the very hizb ut tahrir members have actually been arrested by the Army on some occassions and it has been claimed that they have been tortured... for what?? for asking for Khilafat?? For distributing leaflets against constant drone attacks... its a shame really...

I say we put all groups in the spot light and ask them in minute detail what is it that they want... our people can then decide... the status quo is failing... and we need change... its as simple as that...

@Jana... so basically you do not have proof rather speculation... anyone can state that a group has ulterior motives and such accusation would only hold weight if there is some evidence for it... otherwise its innocent until proven guilty... one can say that PPP is hell bent on destroying Pakistan... and hey for such a statement one does not even need proof... its obvious for all to see... so much for democracy and secularism...

No brother! Jana is right. I have also seen those Hizb-ul-Tehrir pamphlets in detail that they often hand over after jumma prayers. My brother has brought them many times. Wait till i get them one more time.

They are surely misleading you. Everytime they ask to rebel against the current Govt with the help of military coup.

Am i the only one that sees the irony of organizing a protest for a form of governance created in the 6th century through face book ? I am sure the they also supported the site while draw Mohammad day was going on. Whatever rocks their boat i guess.

No need to slit throats this doesnt work , people want democracy check election results .... only way possible is let democracy take the revenge
leaders who deliver get the votes those who do not provide they dont , constant military interference doesnt work for pakistan and wont solve any issues , any more interference or dictators will further create problems

This is true with regards to Hizb-Ut-Tehrir - they are a bunch of mindless fools who don't know what they say and when........even though they raise valid points there methods are very silly.....

Recently in Birmingham, UK....there members went out to preach about Islam, and managed to circle a 8 year old boy and converted him to islam in front of the media, I mean, WTF is all that about........grooming a child who does not even understand much like that........

These guys are a disease and should be not just segregated but actively banned........these fools are the very ones who decided to protest against British soldiers coming back from Afghanistan during there parade march which lead to so much hatred towards Islam that a very fanatical white and mixed non-Muslim group, the English Defence League (EDL) came into being and today there numbers grow every time they launch a protest about anything to do with Islam, sad thing is, the public actually now support the EDL and they get thousands of supporters coming out.......they have really shot Muslims in the foot in the UK now........and where are they now when the EDL decides to march and smash a Mosque, like they did in Dudley, Nowhere.......vanished and dissappeared taking their fanatic views with them, when the going gets tough they quite, just like that tw@t Omar Bakri of Al-Muhajiroun, he spoke openly like a d!ck as well, only to force the British Government to bring in the New Anti-Terrorism Laws, and a week before they came into force, what does he do, make a runner to Lebanon, leaving the Muslims in the UK to face all the wrath.............
