What's new

Youth killed in firing in J&K's Budgam; Mirwaiz Umar Farooq placed under house arrest

It was not considered a part of pakistan obviously.

Kashmiris also include Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs. Do they count for you or are they invisible?
Kashmiris are only muslim

They have been oppressed and under occupation by pagans for over 50 years

They will attain freedom

it doesnt matter what you think, it was a PART of Pakistan, so your argument is invalid
when did i say the minorities are not par of Kashmir, you are obviously ignoring the Majority

It does matter. they did not consider themselves pakistanis so they rebelled and won their separation.

Kashmiris are also Hindus. Kashmiri is an ethnicity, Islam is a religion.

When the hindus of Kashmir supported a foreign indian occupation of Kashmir and oppression of Kashmiris by indians who dont share their religion, culture or looks the hindus ceased to be kashmiris

Who are you to decide who is Kashmiri and who is not?

The kashmiris have decided, the pandits fate was sealed when they betrayed kashmiriyat for foreign indians polluting Kashmir

If their loyalty was never for Kashmir then why should kashmiris see them as their own

You are not a Kashmiri. The Kashmiri Pandits have as much say in Kashmir as any muslim.

the same can said about Kashmiris, they dont consider themselves Indians, so they are rebelling and will win their separation

not a problem... any one who's trying to separate J&k from india with pakistan terror outfit's help will be fired upon if needed.

RIP!
I wish that teenager had not been provoked by the likes of Geelani and his coterie. While the Indian government is struggling to bring peace in the valley, the separatists are leaving no stone unturned to water down Indian government's efforts. Sometimes to achieve peace you've to shed blood.

Kashmir is a political crisis not a military one. Army cannot be let to ruin years of trust building by their recklessness.
Did you say recklessness???
It is okay for the youth to pelt stones, stab policemen, but when forces fire then it becomes recklessness. Heights of hypocrisy!
I 've lived in J&K and in eastern parts of our country. One-off incidents should not be used to pull blanket statements on our forces. Do you think rabble-rousers like Geelani would stop instigating violence in the region if we remove Indian forces from the valley??
The situation would only get worst!!!

I m ex Upwala FYI.... N I have seen the similar situations when was kid .....
The infamous Rampur Tiraha kaand had victims from distant family relatives n we observed that day a black day in our history.... Mullah Malayam was then cm of UP.... What else you need to sense my solidarity with the victims(if innocent) killed by army or police .....
Plz read up the entire bloody story .....
Teardrops on the hill @levina for you also to read it ....
I have been to Jnk four to five times in both region Jammu n Srinagar n have sensed the gravity of the situation apart from inputs of my Kashmiri pandit friends who lives now in Jammu after the infamous 1989 exodus.....
I read the article, I'm not surprised that many implicated officers have moved on to plum postings. The lawlessness in some states like UP, Uttrakhand, Bihar and Jharkhand is not something new. The deplorable condition of these states would continue till a new breed of politicians with a cleaner image take over in these states.

Isnt it interesting how certain regions flare up from time to time? Almost like someone is pulling the strings and giving the go ahead.

Both Pakistan and India do this to one another and both of their residents continue to blame the other side.

Aap bhi na Levina ji, aap itne achhe ho ke bhi tna gussa karti ho. :o::unsure:

I did not say its ok for youth to pelt stones. It is a criminal offence, book the pelter, hit him up with the lathi to teach him a lesson, detain him in lock-up for a week etc. Shooting to kill a stone pelter is too much. Unless there is a riot or the pelter is intent to kill an individual.

I have read enough news in the media to know there are more than "one-off" cases.

Who said anything about removing forces? Just tell the forces they are in India and not some India-occupied territory when they are deployed to sensitive parts of the country.

Its not their recklessness. You need to stop twisting the facts around. The terrorists are engaged in terror and criminal acts. YOu dont see the innocent and law abiding Kashmiri's throwing stones and protesting. They love India. Its a certain % population that is brainwashed and engages in such behavior aiding and acting as terrorists. Political crisis? Nah that changed after Independence, not its military since then. Time to take decisive action. Let the ones who engage in such acts learn a lesson. Look at how Hindus and other minorities have been treated in Bangladesh and Pakistan? Consistently, maraginalized, subjected to untold horrors including rape, kidnapping, forced converions, etc. Kashmiri's who continue to engage in such beahavior, are going to disappear...

Come on dude, you and I know what the common Kashmiris think. And I never said show mercy to terrorists. I said go easy on stone pelting punks who are most likely idiots who are brainwashed. The army kills one civilian and tomorrow the whole town turns anti-India. They don't think rationally, its a mob-mentality out there.

This is India, not pakistan or bangladesh. Punish the criminal not his community.
