What's new

Your grave stone quote ?

I am a Kashmiri Butt...the ones you guys call as Bhatts ! :ashamed:

My ancestors weren't in possession of an English Dictionary to make a more informed decision on our nomenclature ! :omghaha:

Zoinks!!!

Kindly accept my earnest apologies. Of course, you are still very much the same bright boy regardless of your sexual orientation.

quote:

"Dear God, I tried to understand but with this type of brain, really?? what you expected from me? ofcourse I cannot figure out anything about your great plans"

There are Irish Butt & German Butt too for example Hans Goerg Butt was Germany's goalkeeper but mate, we & them don't have any connection with any of them not even in terms of naming ! Our change of name from Bhatt to Butt predates any interaction with them....its not a British India phenomenon.

A good character is the best tombstone. Those who loved you
and were helped by you will remember you when forget-me-
nots have withered. Carve your name on hearts, not on marble.
Charles Spurgeon

look it doesnot really matter when you are dead. its more like a concluding statement, what you really, finally, eventually conclude out of your life. that punch line !

I hear ya. It's just that marble is more reliable and lasting than a human heart.

That said, I'd rather be forgotten than be remembered for the mistakes I made.

ofcourse, you got me all wrong, I did say or implied that you are anglo. ofcourse you are indigenous, I was only referring to how the spelling changed !!

Marble can be destroyed. But the legacy that is carried down through human hearts generation after generations is uncomparable.

It dawned after death that our life was a spell of greed
What we called material body, was dust‐cloud of greed’s lane

True. My purpose was only to highlight the fallibility of the human heart. An oral history of bravery is laughed at out here(India).

This might be radically different in your culture.
