PhD doesn't matter in IT until you have ambition to be in upper level management of a company that does IT, especially research.. Then, other things being equal, the person with the PhD will be chosen over you at some point in the "climb" to the top.

I guess maybe when, I'm older I might start considering it. However right now I'm quite happy being a code coolie. Sometimes I think the higher positions are too far removed from your actual profession. I mean... you'll be doing more "businessy" things rather than doing what you love if you know what I mean...

In Pakistan its very hard to find job before MBA even if you have done BBA (Honors) which is considered at par with MBA and even if you find some job the salary they will pay you at start will be in range of 10-18k or utmost 20k except for the few MNCs which on your day can even pay you 50k, Jobs are really dried up here

It's hard, but manageable. I am currently in Bangladesh, got my degree from Thailand. Planning to transfer credits someplace else

I am 23 , almost done with my BBA (Honors) after this i will probably go for MBA in marketing and then may be for CSS or if not then will decide what to do next

Apart from that i had a bit of experience of working in an automobile company in Pakistan but that was just to gain some experience nothing more than that , even i worked free for them without asking them for payroll

Yes you can ... you can take up research courses at the end of your BS (you need a high GPA for that).... These help you in your PhD
