Why do Chinese people keep comparing China to India? China is culturally and structurally completely different than India. China needs to compare itself to the other East Asian countries and those countries had no population control and also ended up rich with low births. China is getting rich and is hitting population decline. That is bad news.

You are avoiding my inquiry by try to claim one Child policy is only disaster with no benefit. Why cant compare? Human is still human, job security, welfare benefit are needed for all citizens. Human are not animals. Just give birth and let them rot by themselves like animal based on their own survival. It just shown how irresponsible India government and how right one China policy with the benefit for 4 decades of fast economy booming.

China would’ve boomed anyways without the one child policy. Taiwan, S Korea, HK, Singapore, all of these countries didn’t have population control but developed rapidly. China developed rapidly because it had a similar culture.

The Vietnamese women do not divorce and they keep asking husband to have babies, even for the educated women. One problem now is a lot of educated Vietnamese women in Hanoi and HCMC marry at 29 these days.

I guess if Vietnam government start implementing pro natal policies, Vietnam TFR could hold at least at 1.8.

Singapore has child policy control as I can tell you. Go google. Taiwan, SK and HK are small area with a less population, why need population control when they in fact need more.

You are simply purposely ignore the correct policy of China one child policy it brings and just try to suit your own view.

Singapore government deliberately killed TFR, while on surface, roll out lots of pro baby package as sort of a cosmetic remedy.

You cannot have a good TFR when there is no job security, huge mortgage, high medical cost and small living space. Lastly putting as far as possible, women into work.

The concern on birth rate fall is based on habitual thinking. People are used to present economic model. We are at door of AI age. Millions, probably billions of production line workers, drivers, teachers, lawyers, doctors... will lose their jobs. Unemployment will be biggest social problem.

The world will need more creative people, less skilled people. For human resource, quality will be more important than quantity. Relatively low birth rate is necessary.
