My point is that fighting in yemen would have given us huge strategic advantages. Imagine removing houthis, the yemenis would be our staunch ally, like azerbaijan. They would probably do weapons deals with us, trade deals. We would have gotten the biggest share in the reconstruction of yemen, post war. We would have been able to get our hands on sophisticated US weapons and systems that saudi and uae operate.
We could have left a permanent naval base in yemen. A base in yemen would have huge implications for security of CPEC. With a base in yemen, the indian dream of blockading Pakistan sea lanes in war would be shattered and would be impossible to blockade Pakistan. The trade sea routes of CPEC through to africa would have been secured. Many many more advantages that we could have gained and all that without spending a penny. The political and military influence of Pakistan would have grown many times, countries would ally with Pakistan as we would be seen as a country that supports allies. There is a Turkish military base in Djibouti, Pakistan having a base in yemen would meant the control of whole area with us.
There are so many advantages we could have gotten, far more than we got from US in WoT but many of our strategists think sectatian instead of national interest.

where were the saudis when we asked for India not to be invited to the OIC? where were the Gulf Arabs when they gave Modi the highest civilian award? where were Saudi and UAE when they took back their loans and deferred oil payment terms when we refused to recognise Israel? where were the Gulf Arabs when we needed international support to condemn India's actions regarding Kashmir and Babri masjid?

Saudis & uae flirting with India is of Yemen scree up good on them. we can lose 30 thousands Pakistanis for American Afghan fck up , but we can not spare a thousand or two combatants for our interests in the gulf region ally’s. I can see the difficulty, proxies having to condemn a declared terrorist organization and their terrorist's acts because they them selves have served to the known terrorist regime for decades.

pakistanis are working in the gulf. its not like only we gain from it. as for oil and gas, we can get it from other countries like azerbaijan. as for trillions that you think the saudis have, look closer at their situation and you can see that they are big trouble financially. oil price drops, lack of US support in Yemen, and the costly disaster of the Yemen war, etc. as for iran, to hell with them. but we need peace with them too otherwise we will have a lot of problems inside our borders, on top of the headache that is afghanistan. our plate isnt big enough to handle unlimited conflicts and fighting. our economy isnt strong enough to tolerate the brunt of the costly policies you want us to implement.
