Strangely Israel doesn't blame on Iran, and their state-run medias blatantly downplays the role of Iran for some reasons.

Review your definition of "proxy", the only effective proxy of Iran is Hezbollah (meaning that without it being funded etc by Iran, it would cease to exist or be in danger of extinction), contrary to Hamas, Houthis, groups that existed and did damage without Iran.

Proxy = Group that would cease to exist if fundings are stopped, the proper examples are Hezbollah and Iran, Israel and the US/EU, Ukrainian army and NATO countries, US-backed groups in West Asia, they would cease to exist because they will have no way of defending themselves and just running the thing.

if USAF bombers hit targets inside Yemen then Iran will step onto the next step on the ladder of escalation, they have a plan on how to do this they live in the Middle East they know their way around the area unlike the US + Israel Satanic nations of evil and devil worshipers

no doubt the Americans are pushing the Saudis hard to go into Yemen since day 1 but glad Chinese solved the differences between Saudi and Iran

now that leaves the Houthis to fully concentrate on the Israelis

if Israel hits Yemen it will be too far up the escalation Iran will activate Hezbollah to get more aggressive

so my bet is US tries to intercept these missiles via Jordan and Saudi to avoid hitting Yemen directly

if they hit directly Iran will activate the next stage

Its not Yemen, rather AnsarAllah which has declared "war". AnsarAllah is not the internationally recognised government of Yemen. This is just their way to gain legetemacy.
