This comes as Yemen remains locked in a conflict between government forces led by President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi and Houthi rebels.

The Yemeni military is ready to retaliate against “any major attack” by the Saudi-led coalition on Yemen’s key port city of Hudaydah, army spokesman Yahya Saree said, revealing to journalists at a press conference in Sanaa a new statistics for Saudi-led military operation in the country, al-Masirah TV reports.

According to him, the Yemeni Army has “aerial photographs and coordinates of dozens of headquarters, facilities, and military bases” of Saudi Arabia and its allies.

“The legitimate targets of our forces extend to the capital of Saudi Arabia [Riyadh] and to the emirate of Abu Dhabi”, Saree added.

He also said that the Yemeni armed forces have “manufactured advanced generations of attack aircraft” and that they would soon make new systems “functional”.

Hudaydah is the primary hub through which international aid arrives for Yemen, where an estimated 14 million depend on humanitarian food shipments to survive.

The acute humanitarian crisis in Yemen persists as President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi's government and the Shiite Houthi movement have been in a state of war since 2015 when the Saudi-led coalition, which includes the UAE, started to carry out air strikes on areas controlled by the Houthis at Hadi’s request.

Late last year, Saudi and UAE warplanes reportedly conducted more than 200 airstrikes on targets in and near Hudaydah amid Houthis’ calls to declare a ceasefire with the Saudi-led coalition and a peaceful settlement of the Yemen crisis.

If the security of Saudi Arabia gets at stake, Pakistan will have to respond militarily. I hope common sense prevails on both sides specially with Iran who is the current supporter of Houthis.

Sir ji it means things will accelerate in whole region btw i m really surprised i spent long time in Hodiedah know every part of it its very flat coastal region how they still failed to capture it beyond my thinking

What can Pakistan do more than shooting out missiles in mid air, which already is going on without Pakistani participation?
I think Pakistan, who decided to keep quite on Iranian attacks and not issue a statement against it... will have lot of explanation to do on judgment day.
I personally stand clear!
Pakistan has again and again appeared to be an Iranian lackey.

We certainly have not. We just dont consider Iran an enemy yet and want to balance out our relations with Iran who happens to be our neighbour and Middle East. I dont see anything wrong in this approach.

So you are saying that if it's Iranian missile hitting Saudi cities, Pakistan should not condemn because it's in your opinion balancing act?
Please tell me why we need such one sided balancing act? Shouldn't we care for our own interests?

Gureilla warfare, is a very different ball game. The other side doesnt care about civilian casualties, but we do.

Saudi Arabia is the one bombing Yemen and killing innocent people. The poor people are dying of starvation because their economy has been destroyed.

Pakistan needs to look after its own interests and stay out of the conflict. Yes shoot down missiles targeting Saudia but who will shoot down those missiles which target Yemen?

Find it surprising that PDF members are suggesting Pakistan to jump in Saudi Arabian, UAE camp. If Iran is pro India then everybody complains but UAE soldiers doing military drills in Delhi is fine, when will we speak against that? If UAE and Saudi investing billions in India then that's fine but Iran cannot have any relations with India and cannot sell oil to them.

I would say Pakistan needs to make it clear to Saudi and UAE that we won't be enemies of Qatar, Iran or Turkey on your orders. And Build close relations with Qatar Turkey and Iran. Balance this with Saudi UAE Bahrain relations.

We are caring for our interests by staying neutral and no no Iranian missiles will ever hit SA, the odd scuds fired by Hotuis are nothing that Saudis cant shoot down however it conflict does come to a point where the integrity of Kingdom is threatened than Pakistan will get involved. This is clear to all parties involved including Iran.

We may get involve but odds are not in favor. All assumptions which has no grounds.
Ground reality is that country which offered unconditional help to Saudi Arabia against cross border terrorism was India.

Lets not make this shia verus Sunni thing and Raheel SHarif is but one man. If Pakistan would had involved rest assured the world would have known.
Besides i would care less for any of these. For me Pakistan comes first and my priorities lie with the interest of my country.

ANd yet the same India is in bed with Iran, the arch rival of Saudi Arabia and again in bed with Israel arch rival of Iran and both Iran and Saudi Arabia enjoy closer relations with India, arch rival of Pakistan.Point being international diplomacy is not a zero sum game. When will we Pakistanis learn that?:disagree:
