Yemen and Saudi Arabia talk on security cooperation

SANA'A, July 29 (Saba): Defence Minister Maj. Gen. Ahmed Mohammed Nasser met here on Sunday with Saudi ambassador to Yemen Ali Mohammed Al Hamdan.

The meeting touched on the developments at the national and regional arenas and areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and ways of boosting them in all fields, especially the defence and security cooperation between armies of the two brotherly countries.

In the meeting, Nasser valued the efforts of the Saudi ambassador and his role in strengthening ties of brotherly relationship and joint cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, Al Hamdan affirmed the supportive position of the Saudi leadership and people towards the completion of the implementation of the Gulf initiative and its mechanism and to help in achieving the security and stability and confronting the threats of extremism and terrorism.

He pointed to the importance of the international community's standing by the fight against al Qaeda and supporting the Yemeni people to address the misguided terrorist ideas.
