Heavy because of 3 engine hence less range than subsonic counterparts like Harrier and also carrying less weapon loads than harrier

It is dead project and Russian wont revive Yak-141 project but if they want to develop similar VTOL jets they will start a new project from scratch

It will be based on the existing Yak-141 design but with a more powerful engine. Sort of like how Su-35 was developed from Su-27.
