Xinhua begins Pakistan language service to push Belt and Road

I am expecting some xinhua news in the form “Billi chohay ke peeche bhagi. Phir achanak se... Mazeed jannay ke liye link dabaen”

And then both the cat and the mouse ended up in a deep fryer....served with a side of lo mein. :D

I'm not beating around the bush. I gave a very simple answer. Please read it again:

You should also read the article again:

This isn't a goodwill gesture but a power move. CCP felt that the Pakistani govt. wasn't countering "criticism" of CPEC so they thought to open up their own mouthpiece directly into Pakistan.

Now, did I ever say they had no right to do that?? I'm all for freedom of speech & religion.

But the matter is.....will the Chinese allow PTV to be opened up in China and say whatever they want to?? :D

Your focus should be on the last question....because that is where you'll see what your (Pakistan and its residents) actual worth is to China. ;)

Glad you can say that....I fear the day we won't be able to say that even in Pakistan let alone China.

Many of your reasons don't make sense what would be the purpose of a PTV in China? Have you seen PTV? Their quality is atrocious I would be ashamed if they showed that in US.

China has every right to provide counter points to CPEC criticism. Why is that a bad thing? There are several lies being told about CPEC those should be blocked too.

And sorry I still don't get your answer.

what would be the purpose of a PTV in China?

Spreading the PoV of Pakistan and Pakistanis. What else?

Maybe a couple of really good dramas with captions in Chinese & English. Documentaries about Pakistan, it's beautiful landscape, historical cities etc etc

The ideas are many only if you start seeing them.

If you consider your media a 3rd rate media, well guess what?? It will be a 3rd rate media

Have you seen PTV? Their quality is atrocious

I have and it has grown better.

Obviously it's not 4k Ultra but it's better than nothing.

I would be ashamed if they showed that in US.

You would be the only one. :D

I would be proud.

China has every right to provide counter points to CPEC criticism. Why is that a bad thing?

When did I say it's a bad thing??

All I said is the below:

Like what? Can I see an example?

The majority of the people of Pakistan fully support CPEC along with the Pak armed forces and the government. That is all that matters at the end of the day.

The US and few Twitter puppets cannot change this reality.

This is sheer frustration by the Americans and other CPEC haters. It is irrelevant.

The introduction of Xinhua in Pakistan is awesome.

When the US is pissed at something, then this thing must be good.

@Itachi Pakistan has other source of news than just Xinhua, we even have TRT Urdu. However I believe we should have varied news media channels and print media to give us more divergent viewpoints.

RT in US is phenomenal, as long as you know where it is from, so RT should also start broadcast in Pakistan.

Aljazeera similarly is a Qatari mouthpiece, also with some control by CIA, but as long as you know, you can judge for yourself.

Why not allow more foreign media into Pakistan?

I think you and I watch different PTVs. There is 5mins of ads for every 1min of content it's cancerous. I think Pakistan should first produce top quality documentaries before exporting them.

If you don't think it's a bad thing to promote CPEC then what is your issue with the news channel?

There are several examples:

Like I said above lol....I'm ok with having everyone trying to spread their bs in Pakistan....if the Martians want to open up a TV channel in Pakistan....I say let them do it! :D

What I'm asking is if China will allow Pakistan to do the same in China?? Because that's the crux of the matter.....why're we letting the Chinese media in when we can't go into their country??

As of right now, no one from the Pakistani side has made a move so we don't know what China would do if they were in our shoes....but rest assured, they would heavily censor it like they do it to Western Media in China.

Do we censor any media?? Not likely as far as I know...

And what of PTV in Beijing, in mandarin? Will the commies be down for that? Otherwise this should be shut down
Otherwise this.. otherwise that..

Does Pakistan have a chinese language service on PTV?
Or you expect the Chinese to learn Urdu?

Whatever bro but you still haven't answered my question:

will the Chinese allow PTV to be opened up in China and say whatever they want to?? :D

how old are you son?

Why're you going personal "son"? :D

Does Pakistan have a chinese language service on PTV?

What does that have to do with the topic at hand!? :cheesy:

Similarly, I can ask you, does Xinhua have a Urdu channel in China!?

Because im sure he is quite younger than me, not being offensive.

However ive countered you before jerk..A simple answer to that is Chinese wont have any issue launching PTV-Chinese service in China...

I don't understand why that is necessary is my point. Do we have PTV in UK for BBC urdu? Do we have PTV America for VoA?

Yes, you can watch PTV on Youtube....can you do that in China??

Also, I'm all for expanding PTV or/& other news networks internationally like TRT.

But you still haven't answered my question:

will the Chinese allow PTV to be opened up in China and say whatever they want to??

Now who's beating around the bush? :D

If anything you should look into the channel that was proposed by Turkey, Pakistan, Malaysia:
https://www.trtworld.com/turkey/tur...-project-to-fight-anti-muslim-sentiment-30372

Thats because you are arguing a retard..He himself doesnt clearly understand his own rebuttal point,.He thinks he has caught us clueless on this one as he believes Chinese wont allow a Pakistani channel to open a similar service in China..i pity him..
