Regarding the hadeeth: حُبُّ الْوَطَنِ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ (Hubbul-Watan Min al-Eemaan)

Translation: “Love of one’s homeland (country) is from faith”

Source: Kashf al-Khafa’ wa Muzil al-Ilbas (1102), al-Silsilah al-Hadeeth ad-Da’eefah (36) and reported by al-Saghaanee in his al-Mawdhoo’at (81)

The above hadeeth is not the saying of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu ‘alayhi Wa Sallam) and is a very good example of fabrication and falsehood which are attributed to the Prophet (Sallallahu ‘alayhi Wa Sallam). It is mentioned by the scholars in their books as an example of Hadeeth fabrication and lies.
