On the mangoes, The fruit Mango originated from India and Indian mangoes are tastiest of all.

langra isnt exported may be due to being very populer in domestic market....
the other verieties are exported...i buy chaunsaa here in manchester...but a lack of labelling from pakistani expoters is hinderence in my srarch of certain types of pakistani mangoes....Does anybody knows about gulaab mango? its a sindhi breed.

Sindhri and Chaunsa seem to be main varieties exported to UK, a fruit whole seller friend managed to get me Ratol and other varieties, incidentally from Manchester. I think you are referring to Gulaab Khaas.

my aunt was a Phd metalurgy and taught in karchi uni..her garden had a huge gulab khas tree....she used to save the mangoes for me when in season...and i would eat them i/my next visit.....good old memories.

Oh man, you people know all these types, i just go for the best, THE MANGO!!.

When my father went to Kazan , russia, to get training for Mi-17 and bring them back, the russian translator present asked them to tell the second party to bring some new and good fruit with them, so as to know the uniqueness of Pakistan. They brought crates of Mangoes.

And nobody present there had ever seen what a mango looked like, nor had anybody tasted it before!!!. SHe took it home to show her children!!.

Now that is got to be some delicious mango!!

Normally I am a fan of yours but you are way out on this one!! Chaunsa is definately the best coming out of pakistan closely followed by Sindhri. By the by do you know any thing about Black Sindhri. Apparently the best mango in the world.
