World's first 'Electromagnetic Sled' begins operation in China, 1,030 kilometers per hour

Can you imaged if you can reach Guangzhou to Beijing to a sign a contract in 15 min. then head to Shanghai sign another contract in another 15 min. :girl_wink:
Why not use ‘Docusign’ and sign the papers from the comfort of your home.

Good point - oddly enough, that cultural aspect hasn’t kicked into eastern societies of the informality of signing something.

Have to do the pomp and show around it

I always write in various forum that Chinese buying German Megalev technology has eventual application in EM guns and EM aircraft launch. Chinese is operating EM rail for decades, and it is just a matter of time EM rail become EM aircraft launch system.

While Gerald Ford class has EM launch system, they are straight out from R&D. It will be problematic and maintenance prone.

If you design heavy Megalev system, it wont be that difficult to scale down the weight and design a "megalev lite" trading weight for massive increase in velocity.

If very thing work by simple ‘Docusign' then no more job travel or no more world leader State Visit.

It worked during Covid, isn't it? Everything related to administrative and official work is possible over 'Zoom' and 'DocuSign'.

And it was meant as a joke.

If the hyper loop was going to be possible anywhere first, it was going to be China. Routes between the CBD and the airport of the tier 1 cities makes sense, but also long undersea tunnels.

China tests high-speed magnetic levitation train that could move as fast as a plane

I'd rather travel on a good old steam locomotive, Any mishap with this high-speed thing and you have zero chance of survival...

No thank you...

Trains with this kind of speed...if the tech isn't too expensive can really take a bite out of air travel.

Any mishap can happen with other things too...like airplane or even ur car. R u going to refrain from flying?

It's fine if u want the tech to be established first...
...but once the safety is proven...then it would make just as much sense as air travel.
