Worlds 10 Most Maneuverable Fighter Jets

J10,J20, f16, f15, jf17are less maneuverable than griphen? How?
It is unlikely that the creator of this top 10 list, has considered all options and checked their specs before making this video.

So this is a Top 10 list of planes he knows, and not a top 10 lift of most maneuverable aircrafts.

Maneuverability is very subjective issue. Here power weight ratio (empty weight + half fuel + 4 AAM + pilot):

F-15C -------- 1,31
EFT ---------- 1,30
F-22 --------- 1,30
Mig-29 ------- 1,21
Mig-35 ------- 1,21
F-16 blk 60 -- 1,20
Rafale -------- 1,19
Su-35 -------- 1,17
F-16C -------- 1,16
F-15E -------- 1,15
Su-27 -------- 1,15
F-18C -------- 1,15
F-16 blk 52 --- 1,12
F-18E --------- 1,12
Gripen NG ---- 1,10
JF-17 --------- 1,04
F-35A --------- 1
Mirage 2000 --- 1
Gripen -------- 0,97
Tornado ------- 0,92

K77 Aesa seeker coupled with the ramjet propulsion a'la Rvv-sd launched from a Aesa Craft might make BVR even more interesting? Future of air combat will eventually become , farthest seeing craft with a barrage of No-escape missiles playing battleship on mission computers.

Now when it comes to MKI, it's ballads often overshadow the fact that it is extremely agile at supersonic speed, not just due to it's TVC but also due to it's fore planes, on a head to head comparison, I believe it might even shame the new toys of IAF which is another story.

Another tiny note is MKI configuration in pure A2A setup reduces it weight drastically compared to it's Strike configuration, with that amount of fuel, and more afterburner time on those massive engines, it can put down a lot of energy which can compensate it's bleeds in turning fights.

The key issue again is pilots sticking to their advantages in flight envelope... If the setting is right at treetop level ambush, even the fishbed can down the leader of the pack...

The effectiveness of BVR depends on the sort of fight one is facing. BVR alone with the largest sensor may not mean a thing. But BVR combined with an excellent C4I system that paints a better picture will.

Air displays of the MKI show to the extent that the more trained IAF pilots use TVC..... They dont!. The aircraft is already a great dogfighter with its aerodynamics.. The canards aside, the Su-27 was always a great fighting platform. However, the addition of TVC is simply a moot point when it come to its effectiveness. Having a lot of T/W counts..but as I mentioned.. turning fights are going to reduce more and more. It is going to be more about slash and dash rather than anything else. somewhat like riders on horses whizzing by each other with shotguns.. and some hoping that they will come out alive.

Let Indians be happy in buying Russians jets and feeling proud and then will make a thread on YouTube video... You can see there ranking bias almost all Russians jet in Indian inventory are in top ten...

so the bottom line is IAF has Su-30MKI,Mig 29SMT/Mig 35 are already with India and Rafale & FGFA are in pipe line means 1,4,5&6 in the count down are with us + all those EW & AA wpeons + we have more than a decade of experience on 1&5+ at least 250 flying hours for each IAF pilot & experience of many multinational training exersises

still many on this forum beleve that devine PAF pilots can take on IAF any given day :taz:....:rofl:

Well we would have been worried, but then it is only Indian pilots flying these planes and we all know the quality of training given to the poor chaps in india.

:p:

Well....I gotta go on "real world" examples. Every time a US designed fighter faces any other....we are run from the skies. That's why the US and Israeli force can never seem to get "air-dominance". Perhaps if we reverse engineer Mexican fighters....or muslim ones....we can eventually hold our own in the skies....instead of having our whole air-force shot down like in Serbia.

Uhh.. Muslim is not a country. Additionally.. Muslims in the US fly US fighters.. and have given their lives flying for their country.
Tale of a late Muslim Pakistani American F-15 Pilot

Right, Muslim is not a country, nor does Mexico produce fighters. (though there are quite a few countries that go out of their way to have Islamic this or Islamic that in their name)

The only thing Islamic happening in most of these countries is circumcision.
