Russia needs chinese money as they have been put under sanctions. What russia have ? Oil and gas. Who are their potential customers ? China. Russia directly threaten europe or nato.

So those who are economically strong or independent, they wont budge.

Pakistan was the first country to build strategic partnership with China after their revolution, at the time when they were nobodies.

There is a term which is a being widely used these days i.e Russia + China= U.S

Russia have military power but not money or economy but china have economy or money but dont have such military. So both are dependent on each other.

I am talking about present. Do ask any sane person about CPEC, its like surrendering your territory in front of chinese. You will be put under debt trap,then you will be left with nothing except accepting their terms.

NEW DELHI: We are in a truly multipolar world. The US is still ahead, but large swathes of the world view China as the leading power.

A Pew survey shows "in seven of the 10 European Union nations, China is considered the leading economic power (it is tied with the US for top spot in Italy)." However, India continues to believe US is the world's leading economy. In fact, 41% of Indians have an unfavourable view of China, and just 26% have a more positive image of it.

India is joined by Japan, parts of Asia and Latin America in rooting for the Americans even as most of Russia believes China is the economic leader. Interestingly, "China leads the US by a two-to-one margin in Australia - a longtime US ally, but also a country whose top trading partner is China."

About 47% of the 38 nations polled have a favourable opinion of China, while 37% are unfavourably disposed. Post Trump, global approval for the US stands at 49%, with 39% giving a thumbs down. What is common between the US and China is that both their leaders, Donald Trump and Xi Jinping, are viewed negatively.


About "53% say they do not have confidence in Jinping in world affairs. A much greater share (74%) express little or no confidence in Trump. Xi is less well-known than Trump: One-in-five do not have an opinion of Jinping, while only a median of 8% have no opinion about Trump."


Vladimir Putin is liked even less than Xi. The only leader who makes the cut is German chancellor Angela Merkel - 42% have confidence in (her), just 31% say they do not."
Russia and Nigeria are China's biggest cheerleaders, with over 70% approval. In many big Asian nations, China is viewed much more negatively, "with a particularly steep decline in South Korea".

Australia has the most positive view of China in Asia (64%). Xi Jinping receives negative approval in US, but curiously more people in India are ambivalent about him. "South Korea is the most likely to say that the US is the leading economic power (66%)."

Note that the Indian President said India has been a superpower since 2012. Not just a global power. Indians will be very offended if you claim India is merely a 'global power'.

Go and read your earlier post before changing the goal post. You are contradicting yourself. Laughable.

I will tell you what CPEC is. From Pakistani perspective, we have got a global power who wants to put her eggs in our basket, and want to create a mutually beneficial inter-dependancy with us. Its a win win situation for us. You are kid with school boy analysis. Do you class inter Europe trade and transit as a surrender of territory by member EU states? We are China strategic partner. Not only them, nut we want Russia to use our ports and roads for their trade as well along with central Asia. We want to become the trade hub for majority of nations, specially those who matter on geopolitics. If in the process, India is becoming redundant, that doesnt bother us a bit.

Lol Mr. Elite member didn't I quote u in that same thread... MEA already conveyed the msg to the Chinese. ... we've asked them to go back to their original positionsize to begin the talks until them we're stay put. Of course India will never station our troops there once the agreement is reached. It's been two weeks since we've said that... now it's upto China and you know what the Chinese are still trying to enter and IA is keep on blocking them
