It is natural for people to ask link for the claim they make in this forum. Unless it is obvious and accepted by everybody. However if I make a claim, and somebody asks for a cross reference, I will never trivialize it no matter how well known the fact is.

I am not the first person to ask for reference. We all do it. People make claims. They are asked references. Some sources are genuine, some are not trustworthy.
This is normal way of discussing, and being skeptic always helps.
