Woman sent back to US for arriving in Islamabad without visa

The onus is on Qatar airlines for letting her board. It’s possible the woman might be mistaken considering the general high acceptance of the US passport for granting Visa without entry.

ISLAMABAD: US national Sonia Sita Perez, who arrived in Islamabad without a visa, was deported to America on Wednesday.

It was reported by the Federal Investigative Agency (FIA) that Perez had reached Pakistan on an Islamabad-bound Qatar Airlines’ flight without having a Pakistani visa.

Perez was sent back to the US on the same flight by immigration authorities.

This is not the first time that an American has been sent back after failing to carry a visa.

A similar incident happened in June 2016, wherein an American woman was deported to her country after she arrived in Islamabad without a Pakistani visa.

I went on a roadtrip to y'alls nation and all the hotels were owned by them. Btw why are y'all so angry all the time? almost punched someone in the face for being a stuck up lil bit*h

There are more Pakistanis in Canada than in the States, and the community is much more spread out there is only like one or two Little Pakistan growing up in the 90s and 2000s Jackson Heights use to have a lot of Pakistanis but they all moved out when the Bongs and Nepalis moved in the late 2000s, Coney Island also big but shrank due to 9/11 grew back up in recent years however more Pakistanis are moving to the suburbs like Westchester County in NY or Long Island

Something doesn't add up.
Most airlines won't even issue you a boarding pass until and unless they have seen the required travel documents. Some won't even let you buy a ticket.

The airline will pay a fine now to Pakistan govt most likely....for handling and deporting charges. Basically govts generally have got this all sorted out in the airline charter contracts fine print. It is why airlines do take it upon themselves to check the requisite travel papers are in order....before boarding the passenger.

I suspect someone (airline side) thought/assumed she had a connecting flight (to some visa free place for US citizens) and would just be in transit through Pakistan or there was some miscommunication or similar....and they didnt really bother to check.
