'Without Patel, Hyderabad would not have merged with India'

.
Yes, Hyderabadis are all yearning for freedom from Indian occupation. Pakistan should send mujahids and jihadis to help them. Many PDF members are Hyderabadis, you can co-ordinate the operation with them. They will act as saboteurs when the glorious liberators arrive from the pureland.
i am a hyderabadi we never want to separate from India, it only pakistani fanboys who think Hyderabadis want to separate from India.

Patel was a shrewd scum just like nehru. Both these chanakyans were epitome of aggressiveness and hegemony.

. .
He is not scum unlike your father ....

Just take care for your mouth..... You can say whatever you want to say to your leaders but shut your mouth for great people like Patel

U would do well if u heed your own advice. He is a "great" leader for u hindutvas NOT for the rest of south asians.

Nobody beats mohammedans in aggressiveness and hegemony and being the worst slavetaking murderous scum on earth, from day 1 t this day. The history is testimony to that, just because now you have a permanent case of Stockholm syndrom, facts don't change. This is our land, always was, always will be.

Dr KM Munshi’s first hand account of Nehru-Patel differences over Hyderabad action

LK Advani in LK Advani's Blog | India | TOI

On September 13th the Army’s Operation Polo commenced. On September 17th the Operation ended and Laik Ali and his cabinet tendered their resignation. The same day the Nizam told his army to surrender to the Indian Armed Forces. There was not a single communal incident in the entire country.

TAILPIECE

After the successful Army Action, Shri K.M. Munshi tendered his resignation from the office of Agent General. The States Ministry issued a press note generously acknowledging how Munshiji had worked with single minded devotion to achieve the task assigned to him.

Munshi says in his book- Pilgrimage to Freedom:

When I was back in Delhi Sardar insisted that I should call on Jawaharlal Nehru as a matter of courtesy. When I went to the Prime Minister’s office in Parliament House, he came out in the ante-room and frigidly accosted me: “Hello Munshi”. “I have come to call on you, now that I am back in Delhi,” I said. He almost turned as if to go; then he turned round, shook hands with me and left.
I don't know whether Advani knowingly chose to ignore it, but there is a classified report(read A G Noorani's 'Destruction of Hyderabad' on Sunder Lal Committee report) that clearly recorded the communal backlash Muslims in the Hyderabad state faced after Operation Polo.

Hyderabad was one state which would have fallen in Indian lap with just some more patience. There were multiple threats the Nizam's administration was facing. The foremost and most immediate threat was the popular revolt backed by the Communists and Arya Samaj, then there was the Indian blockade and even some progressive muslim elements in Hyderabad wanted the Nizam to go.

Hyderabad was to join India one way or another. The way it got integrated into India prevented the Communist takeover of the State. However the communal incidents that happened later pushed the local muslims into a ghetto kind of mindset. That the atrocities are never talked about(as opposed to the atrocities committed by the Razakars) was the main grievance which was used by parties like MIM to convert the population into a votebank and a reservoir of bitterness towards Indian state, and by parties like BJP to blame them calling Pakistanis.

This is another example of how people like Advani sometimes to angle it as Hindus did not seek revenge even though Muslims committed atrocities in India.

Just another Indian occupied state besides Junagadh, Manavadar, and Kashmir. Those who talk about plebiscite in Kashmir need to look at Indian leader's track record. No wonder India supports apartheid Israel.

israel ???

Was this Thread for a Bangladesh issue. Cant you Indians talk anything with a Bangladeshi without raising 1971

Yes I agree with you Hyderabad belongs to India. Because of Hindu majority.

Then I dont agree India should keep Kashmir. Because of Muslim majority

I dont agree with you, as Hyderabd was ruled by Muslims and didnt wanted to join India

If India didnt attack Hyderabad, I could agree that India has all rights to keep Kashmir as its king wanted to join India.

That reddened part is where you are wrong. Hindu majority has nothing to do with being part of India, because the Republic of India was not created as a nation that is especially for hindus. You are thinking about Pakistan and applying the same logic to India, which is fallacious because the premise behind the formation of the two countries was not similar.

India was not created solely for hindus - it was formed as a secular republic. Whether a certain area is of hindu majority or sikh majority or christian or muslim majority plays no part in deciding whether those areas should accede to India and join the Union. Geographical contiguity is the important criterion - we did not want a kingdom of Hyderabad inside the Republic of India. It was much better for everybody to have them be part of India. Good for everybody except the king, of course.

Pakistan first craved for getting hold on Hindu majority princely states even after their two nation theory, Congress never believed in TNT, so its pretty fine to keep Kashmir and they are just 3-4% of Indian Muslim population.
