this is from march 2011. We did overtake Brazil and now now we are the fifth largest car maker. Climbing to 3rd spot is not a big deal

The link clearly shows India in the 5th position. How did the US, get to the top, with 29 million while India's figures are around 30 million and BEHIND the US in those stats you've posted? But the link shows different? Did you just copy and modify it

There is Premier and Maruti. Bajaj will soon get into car making

Premier is nowhere in the the market scene it is a more or less dead brand , and in case of maruthi only the brand name is indian "MARUTHI" but 100% stake is in Suzuki's hold so its a pure japnese MNC not indian. and i hope the same about bajaj also.... but u forget to mention Force Motors.

i think bangladesh and pakistan should start importing cars from INDIA.. that will definately cost them less $$ and more relibaility..
