These are all different calibers of bullets. The first number, e.g 5.56 or 7.62, is the width of the bullet.
The second number, e.g 39 or 51, is the length of the cartridge, which contains the powder.

So 7.62x51 is generally more powerful than 7.62x39, but the cartridge is also much heavier (the actual bullet is the same size). The G3 uses 7.62x51, AK47 and Type56 (Chinese AK used by Pak forces) uses 7.62x39.

5.56x45 is used in M4, M16, HK-416, and many other NATO weapons.

Each is good for specific purposes and was designed with different tactics and equipment in mind, so which one is 'better' is highly debatable, but for Pakistan it's best if we stick to the Calibers we already use because shifting the entire military to a different caliber will be expensive.

There is more powder in the cartridge, so the bullet has a higher velocity, and also travels further. So yes, the 7.62x51 has a greater range, which is why it's often used in sniper rifles and DMR (Designated Marksman Rifles).
It is also better at piercing armour and does more damage in general as more force is transferred into the target.

However , feel the weapon should have a targeting sight (you know Call of duty has built that bias up)

Certainly difficult choices we all have to make

I would certainly like to see Technology integrated in the weapon some products we made inside Pakistan

From defects, to not offering enough for the overall costs. Competing rifles, such as the hk416/7, offer similar capabilities, but with a lower overall cost, so why go for SCAR?

First it was mainly designed for use of Special Forces. So many Special Forces around the world are adopting them but as it's dam expensive not a single infantry has right now adopted it. I was also shocked to see SCAR in Pakistani trials but later I figured out that most likely some one is backing us up

2- CZ-807 (As it might be easier to carry by Troops), for Pakistani Soldiers and their general body type the lighter weapon might be easier on shoulders.

SCAR is coming with full TOT and all the versions will come as well as handguns and Machine Guns. As for optics and Grenade Launcher well for that we are most likely going to Turkey

It would be a committee who will decide and removal of POF chairman from POF to less attractive post is a message that no corruption would be tolerated.
