Oh come on man thing are not as bad as you say. Turkey has lot of options. Any nation in the world will like to cooperate with Turkey in developing a 5th gen. Turkey already has PAK-FA option and PAK-FA is better than F-35. PAK FA is F-22 calss jet. Plus Turkey has it's own 5th gen project Pakistan also has it's own Korea has it's own China has many 5th gen. It is an open market for Turkey and USA knows it. USA don't wants to lose Turkey it is not good for US interests.

Regarding 800 million Turkey can earn that 800 million back by developing parts it is easy for Turkey. If Allah closes one door it opens 100 more.

There was a time when USA Banned F-16 sales to Pakistan and we were depressed but now we thank USA for Banning F-16 because we made our own jet due to that Ban of USA some time we cannot under stand but few action against us turns out to be in our favor in the end. Just trust Allah Pak what were he is doing is for your good.

No. The only option I see is development of TFX and modernisation of F-16 with Turkish components. Everything else is just political game.

So what are you arguing? If American decide to sanction turkey and stop support for F135 engine. Turkey F-35 will be doomed. When you buy American products, you shall know you can't offend US if you want your bulk military operate on US hardware to function.

Read what I've posted so far, or just read the first post in this thread to get an understanding of what I'd like to see.
As A Turk I approve this. I would like to see all two-faced countries block sales to Turkey upfront and not behind closed doors, perhaps this way we can beat some sense into our people and increase self-sufficiency.
If we want to see a rising Turkey that has a say on this planet or at least within Turkish region we must be self sufficient in all areas..

It is not a political game Russia needs a buyer for PAK-FA and is desperate. Turkey will be a jack pot for them. The info TAI has is what Russia needs. If you look at PAK-FA what is that PAK-FA lack? It lacks internal weapons bay and Turkey can provide that. Blocking is not that easy for USA as well. If turkey is blocked it will only make F-35 more expensive. Shifting production to USA will make F-35 more expensive. and that will make Europeans to reduce number of air crafts ordered. Thus increasing costs more.

It is a political game. Buying an aircraft is not a one off thing, you are stuck with that country in a kind of lease for decades buying parts, modernisation packages etc... etc... like beast said, you have to stay in good graces of such a country so as not to get those parts blocked.

Yes that is true but then again if being stuck with Russia was an issue then why go after S-400.

You have to get weapons from some where if you don't get it from right then get it from left.

Our nation pays the price of the retard in palace, while that retard is busy to build $billion new palace with tax money in Marmaris coast for his ugly family.

Just like how the Ottomans ordered ships from the British. British confiscated the ships and took the money.

Same thing here. Turkey was one of the partners of this F35 instead it got blocked and its money taken.

Has Turkey ever learnt that aligning yourself to the West will never work. How many times will Turkey be screwed over for many to wake up.

Leave NATO and now its time for Turkey to follow its own independant path. Neither west or east but its destiny.

The planes will come but they might block sales of spare parts in the future for sure.

That's why we should only order around 40-50 and look for other alternatives even if it means they're worse than F-35.

Some experts and military advisers say the procurement of over +100 F-35's will also undermine Turkey's own TF-X project heavily and delay it for years.

The question to the answer that the questioner asks is also hidden within the other question that gives birth to this and 10 other questions.

What causes this question is also the answer to the same question keeps bringing such questions on the stage in order to draw the line.

Regardless... Highly skeptic.

No, Since Israel has it and world want Israel to be a dominant force in ME, Turkey will not have it. Also a possibility have been raised that Turkey might react to Israel's expansionists dream.

How and on what scale?
Please explain.

Turkey is not a threat to US.US is a threat to Turkey. Its US meddling in middle east from thousands of kms away, we are merely trying to secure our backyard. And you will stay a Pakistani till you die :p

Right. Buying S-400 while being in NATO.

Look who is talking an indian dog with American hat (We should not sell F-35 to Turkey)
