Will South India break up from India?

I, being, a south Indian feel that south India will break away from India one day if the centre fails to allocate the taxes to them proportionately.. If this difference in development between south and north keeps widening, the discontent among the southies will also increase.. Why should south pay for states like UP, Bengal and bihar who do nothing to control their population or increase their standards of lives..

Distributing taxes based on population is injustice to south.. I hope centre will wake up before its too late. There is an immediate need for complete change of present system where centre has more authority over states.

2019 is drawing closer and even before that Karnataka election are drawing nearer. Honestly, most of the people in south India do not even know how the taxes they pay are distributed. Heck, they do not even care. It is the so called 'intellects' who stir this pot for fun and profit.

. .
Karnataka election date has been announced the polling is on 12th May and results will be declared on 15th May. Meaning we will have to live with this cr@p for another 15 days or so until the next elections in some Southern state.

There is a good chance that CONgress will keep karnataka.

1. Only 3.81% of Indians pay income taxes

2. Maharashtra and Delhi account for 53% of direct tax collections

Do you really believe each individual in those states actually got that much worth subsidy? Those states are riddled with caste politics and corruption. The reason southern states are able to contribute more is because they can set up their shops all over India and have cities which get much more investments compared to poorer states. And brain drain from these states to south don't help their cause either. Although I agree on the population thing, it should have been done a lot earlier. The more the population, the more the delay in nation becoming a "developed" country. Now we have millions of people living in those states with limited resources, and not just them but the whole country is suffering because of it. This outrage is the proof.

Maharashtra and Gujarat are neither North nor South. The economy of Bombay alone must be bigger than that of most South states and we don't even get decent roads. Obviously, there is a sense of unfairness but it has not boiled down to secession. Nor do I think it will.

The vast majority of members of PDF give their personal views on various topics without knowing the exact practical/legal/social position on ground in India. Our Supreme Court can turn any law as unconstitutional if it doesn't follow basic structure of the constitution. Secondly our parliament has many checks and balances while passing any amendments in constitution. Thirdly our army is neutral in political affairs. Our constitution doesn't provide for annexing any territory from India without passing any law from parliament. So forget about breaking of India. Only possibility for break-up of India is if it ruins it's economy. So for Indians, we should continue our economic development and for our enemies, first stop our economic growth than only think about break-up of India.

Implementing fifteenth finance commission is the main problem here...
V Bhaskar, who was special chief secretary finance to the government of Andhra Pradesh, and joint secretary, 13th Finance Commission, in his article on Challenges before the Fifteenth Finance Commission published in Economic and Political Weekly, 10 March, 2018 said that while Uttar Pradesh gains Rs 35,167 crore, Andhra Pradesh will lose Rs 24,340 crore. Similarly, while Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh gains Rs 32,044 crore, Rs 25,468 crore, Rs 14,735 crore respectively Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka will lose Rs 22,497 crore, Rs 20,285 crore and Rs 8,373 crore respectively.
Why we have to suffer because of the incompetents of Northern states???

You don't have to suffer. You can always kill yourself if the suffering gets too much.

Till then, the law of the land will prevail.

In any case, a communist has not moral authority to protest diversion of funds from the rich to the poor  Time to practice what you preach. lol.

The outrage will be a lot worse if we really start implementing equity.

We only have to give people the number of LS and RS seats based on the number of population. If we do that, the entire south will loose its political weight.

So far that has not been done.

If the chief minister's of these states follow our principles... We are happy to help them... Their priorities are something other... Why we need to help them for their cow politics and statue politics???
Do communist China help India to alleviate poverty here???

Their are certain states who receives more share simply because they are amongst the least developed ones.

nothing to do with discrimination or anything.

This kind of BS is expected around the elections to label the current govt as North Indian hegemonic one.

As usual nonsense from opposition parties since they don't have anything else to offer.

Besides in India people from all states lives in every state, thing to ponder on.
