Same can be said about indian nukes and the rest of the world.
Nukes are not bombs, they are not some kind of TNT or grenede that you throw at some one

But apart from Pakistan none of those nations possess nuclear weapons. Nuclear weapons are the great equalizer to overwhelming massive conventional weapon superiority. Iraq was also an ally of america and look what the americans did to them. Pakistan was/is also on the same neo con hit list of nations that Iraq and Afghanistan were on. There is a reason why the americans havn't attacked Pakistan like it did to those nations.

Iraq happenned for a different reason and for Afghanistan's destruction both US and Pakistan will have to share equal responsibility. Turkey is NATO member that enjoys nuclear umbrella. Gen Musharraf did not have a choice but to agree to cooperate in Afghanistan despite having nukes or else the US would not have hesitated to target Pakistan.

If there is a probability of "nuclear weapons" falling into wrong hands, its equal for all countries. If a muslim fundamentalist can take hold of a nuclear weapon and launch it across, so can be a hindu fundamentalist or some jew or racially motivated "white"
Pakistan nuclear devices are "coded" one. Will never explode until that code sequences are matched. The worst could be a "dirty" bomb. Where there is a limited exposure of radiation.

The wrong hands does not mean religious fundamentalists or terrorists only. Pakistan is perhaps the only unstable country to have nukes. A nation which relies on economic aid from other countries will be viewed with suspicion regarding her nuclear morals and safety. Allegations of stealing and also selling of nuke tech against a scientist and also selling nuke tech to North Korea suggest that some nukes are not in the right hands.
Those who think that nuclear weapons can be stolen or robbed.... well i have no comments for that.

I meant it should at least be in the order of magnitude. Japanese debt is more to its own people. The others on top of the list are failing economies.
