Will Indonesia's idea for an Asian peace treaty fly?

Nan-Yue was Nam Viet, dude.

Who says Cantonese are Viets? We are close, but not as close as that we can say we are the same people.

No matter it was 南越 or 南粵, it was still an ancient Chinese nation. Its history belongs to China.
Just like Bayern Kingdom was an German nation and its history belongs to Germany, also Indians Sangam belongs to India.
In fact I am glad that the Chinese Emperor gave you the name Viet-nam (越南) instead of Nam-Viet (南越), otherwise some of you (like that idiot here) will take this as an advantage to claim the ancient 南粵國. Just like some of those Korean always claim that they own the territory of North-East China.

I miss your humor. What´s up with you?

Does China belong to Mongolia? Should I repeat again: Nan-Yue (Nam Viet) did not belong to China. The country was totally independent from the Hans, they co-operated and never followed orders from the Han´s Emperors. Viet-nam (越南) or Nam-Viet (南越) has more or less the same meaning: the Viets living in the South, South of China.

Personally I rather like the old name Great Viet (dai Viet).

Who told you that only Han people represent the whole history of China.
China belongs to Chinese people which include Manchu, Han, Mongolian, Hui and etc. Chinese people are MOSTLY Han, but that doesn't mean that ALL of them are. Chinese history is not only the history of Hans, but Chinese people's history.
As for Mongolia, the Origin of Mongolian people, Hulunbeier, is a territory of Modern China. The posterity of the founders of the Great Yuan, the Golden Family, are all Chinese, citizens of the PRC. Outer Mongolian, Khalkha, were not even Mongolian during Yuan dynasty. They have no right to inherit Mongolian Chinese ancient dynasty. Ancient Mongolia, Jing, Song and other Chinese nations became one and established the Great Yuan. Then Ming Dynasty inherited Yuan, Qing inherited Norther Yuan and Ming, the Republic of China inherited Qing. Modern Mongolia, Outer Mongolia, is just a nation independent from Modern China. How could China possibly belong to Mongolia.
In addition, Modern Mongolia has nothing to do with Chinese Yuan. Just like Modern Macedonia (Republic of Macedonia) has no right to represent Greek Macedonian Empire and Pakistan has no right to represent Mughal Empire.

But don't misunderstand me I'm not criticizing you. I'm just sick of those people who always claim our important history (which is almost everything we can be proud of), spreading rumors about the "indoor issues" such as the so-called human right of Tibet (which is annoying and stupid) and insulting us by changing our identity (like what that idiot did).

do you think the Viets are part of Chinese nation, like the Han´s and other 55 ethnic minority groups? is Vietnam history a part of modern Chinese history?

By the way, do you know how it came to the break of the Viets from China?

Nooope, Gin people are like Russian Chinese and Korean Chinese. Unlike the other Chinese ethnics, they are not natives of China and their main history is not part of Chinese history.

As for the break up, well obviously that was because the central government was so bad that people can't stand them anymore.

Do you honestly believe that if they were to dare launch icbm strikes on our military positions that they would survive the coming fire? They would hide in the dirt waiting to be glassed and not even a cockroach would survive the divine light of thousands of nuclear strikes throughout what would have been the Chinese heartland.

The extermination of an entire race would be a result of that action. We have the supreme power to eradicate their entire country from the face of this earth.
Actually, thousands of nuclear strikes are still trivial compared to the physical size of China. Do you have any idea how small a nuclear blast when viewed on a national map scale?

China's 3000 nukes definitely means wiping out at least 1/3 of the USA population though because your population is mostly concentrated in ~30 to 50 cities. Our strategy will be to target the white neighborhoods and leave the black neighborhoods so after the holocaust... ;)

EastSea tried spreading his fake theory that Cantonese are not han on the Dalai Lama thread. Zhao Tuo, the gounder of Nanyue was a Chinese from the State of Zhao in northern China (formerly part of the Zhou dynasty), and so were all his soldiers who went with him to Nanyue.

Cantonese are descended from northern Chinese paternally. Many Vietnamese nationalists try to claim Cantonese are sinicized Yue, but the Cantonese are descended only maternally from the Yue. Their patrilineal line from their fathers is northern Chinese. Cantonese are descended from northern Chinese settling in Guangdong and marry Yue women. That is why they have northern Chinese Y chromosome from their father's side but mitochondrial DNA on their mother's side from the Yue.

Cantonese still call themselves people of Tang after the Tang dynasty because alot of their ancestors were northerners who fled to Guangdong during the Tang dynasty.

Many northern Chinese fled to southern China in ancient times

Their is a saying in Taiwan, "mainland grandfather no mainland grandmother" 有唐山公無唐山媽 because Han men from mainland would marry Aboriginal Taiwanese women.
