Wife beats up minister, lover
Mumbai: In true Bollywood style, a junior Maharashtra minister was thrashed by his wife at an MLA hostel in South Mumbai on Sunday after she allegedly caught him with another woman.
According to a source in the Manora MLA hostel, the minister, who hails from Nagpur, and his woman guest were in one of the rooms on the first floor of the hostel when his wife unexpectedly landed up.
Seeing the woman, the wife got livid with rage and started raining blows on her. She didn't spare her husband either.
The minister's name has been withheld because no official complaint was lodged and no one was willing to go on record about the incident.
The minister's wife was in Nagpur and was expected to arrive in Mumbai only on Monday. However, the wife got wind of what her husband was up to and she took the last flight to Mumbai. On reaching the hostel, she asked the watchman to knock on the door of her husband's room. She then barged in and became violent on seeing her husband in the company of another woman.
"She beat up the woman badly and asked her to leave the place immediately," the source said. The minister, too, got a taste of his wife's wrath. The minister left the city soon after and has been untraceable since.
