Sindh was home to one of the world's oldest civilizations, the Indus Valley civilization from which Indian civilization emerges,it is there lot before the birth of Islam.It was ruled by Rai dynasty before caliph Ummars capture of Sindh.
In response of Caliph Umar's question about the Makran region, the messenger from Makran answered:
'O Commander of the faithful!
It's a land where the plains are stony;
Where water is scanty;
Where the fruits are unsavory;
Where men are known for treachery;
Where plenty is unknown;
Where virtue is held of little account;
And where evil is dominant;
A large army is less for there;
And a less army is use-less there;
The land beyond it, is even worst. [referring to Sind]
Listening this Caliph stopped marching for further and not crossed Indus river.

Caliph Umar RA never entered the Makran region let along reached the banks of the Indus. Baluchistan was conquered under the reign of his successor Caliph Usman RA. Also Indus valley civilization was in Pakistan as is Sindh so lol.

Before arrival of Islam, Kashmir and Pakistan was Hindu Majority. :)

Irrelevant. :)

It was a mistake and a huge injustice to the Sindhi non-Muslim community that all of their homeland went to an Islamic country without their consent. I have talked about this before.

Just curious!!
Sindh had a population of 1,400,000 Hindus at the time of partition and some of the bordering districts like Tharparkar District, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar and Badin had a hindu majority. Infact Umerkot still has a hindu majority.
These parts could 've been given to India.
Another thing that baffles me is this
" It was declared by the Government of Sindh, that any land owned by Muslims before 1907 would be given back to them, regardless of Hindu ownership". [r]
why was such a law passed? and why 1907?

India occupied Kashmir, India occupied Bihar, India occupied Hyderabad, Indian Occupied Goa, India occupied............... all after partition.

Karachi was only Hindu majority because Hindus came over for work from other parts of South Asia or else it was always Muslim majority.
So? It's all right bhaijaan, I know how it works.

Most prolly you have that member on your ignore list and ergo you cant see his posts. I was replying back to desertfighter.
Ohhh, yes, he is on my Ignore list. :P Not worth replying to IMO.

Sindhi people - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Cities and towns of Sindh were dominated by the Hindus. In 1941, for example, Hindus were 64% of the total urban population.

I asked for a reliable source not wikipedia..

Term muslims as the root cause of all the evils, but Why a religion can not be dominate Ideology for the masses ??
Muslims are not the root cause of the evils. :disagree:

Why A MUSLIM feel himself/herself different from the others (or in the case of India different from HINDU & SIKH)..... ??
This is a very very good question. The only difference between you and me actually. The only reason you are a Pakistani and I am an Indian. I have got conflicting answers from people regarding this issue. From the Hindus who converted into Islam and then separated from their parent family(on their own) and also Muslims who left Islam and became atheists.

You know what - try as I might to put in the discrimination equation into play - it does not work. The Muslim converts for example, those I knew had no issues with their family. Sure, they were scolded - but they were not disowned at all. Eventually, they married Muslims and maintain no contact with their Hindu brothers, parents etc. The ex- Muslim commies on the other hand have been disowned by their families. Without exception. Nobody could answer this particular question that you asked. Except one rather strange guy - he simply said that he was upset that his parents will go to hell (for being Hindus), so he does not bother to contact them.

Also Hindu and Sikh is not the matter. See - Jains, Buddhists, Parsis, Christians, Hindus ... there have never been this feeling that 'WE' are different people. The method of worship was a minor difference and easy to gloss over.

The other countries have faced this issue. None got divided on those religious lines because there was an external power missing(Brits in India). One did - South Sudan...yes I know they were Christians, but you get the point. Other countries who faced similar demands for a separate identity are - Russia(Chechnya), Myanmar(Rakhne Islamic State), Philippines(Bangsamoro), Northern Cyprus, East Turkestan, etc. But these forces were all suppressed by force.

A blog? pretty much..:rofl:

Again even according to this blog non muslims were a clear minority..
Have u read it?
According to the colonial census of 1941, Muslims in Delhi constituted a minority population of 33.22%. On the other side Karachi had a Hindu population of 47.6%. Hindus in Sindh were relatively in peace than in Punjab before partition

No, they weren't. They still got their land, faith etc. More truthful is the fact that the partition of Pakistan was rather a painful loss for India. Get over it though. It's done and dusted. Posing such irrelevant questions is useless now. Your curiosity isn't going to change anything any more.
It is impossible for us to get over it since we lost our land. you can get over it cause you didn't lose anything. you gained which was not yours.

I know this is harsh. But our forefathers were to blame. Not him. They should have fought back hard. Learn this lesson by heart, else you may again have to learn it by blood.
