Hello Every body

J 10 Fighter plane is China's own creation

There is No case of Intellectual Property Rights violation like in case of J 11

SO why does not China sell J 10 to other countries

There are MANY countries operating MIG 29

They would like to have a look at J 10 ; MIG 29 is nearly equal to J 10 in capabilities

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Mikoyan_MiG-29_operators

. .
a. Because the production capacity can hardly keep up with China's own needs.
b. The aircraft is still under improvement
c. It has been offered to some countries apart form Pakistan.

The J-10 is for export.

It has been shown at numerous airshows and offered.

. .
J10A is cleared for export as it was shown in Singapore.

Very pleased to know this

Now could you please also clarify on WHICH engine do you intend
to Fit in the J 10 A -- that is-- IF you export it ;
J 10 A would be powered by which engine-- AL 31 or WS 10

Has RUSSIA allowed you to RE SELL AL 31 engine

Dear Indian,

There is no problem with engine.

None what so ever.

Thank you for your concern.

Kindly, mind that the discussion doesn't turn yet again into..nonconstructive.

It would be disappointing if your good self or others just turn this thread into a trollfest.

Thank you.

.
It is offered with both; a notional customer would probably pay Russia royalty fees if they wished to use the Al-31.

So Russia would only gain 3 Million dollars if they ALLOW the Resale of AL 31
as a part of J 10 ; to other countries

Where as Russia could earn 45 to 50 Million if they Directly sold MIG 29

Why would Russia go for such a loss

Mig 29 is STILL being sold ; Egypt bought it recently

This is a Genuine question

China has made 400 J 10s

It must have thought about exporting J 10 at some point of time

So what is holding it back

Where as Mig 29 is still being sold

It's not a loss when the other alternative is for Russia not to obtain any profit at all.

Please re-read the post. The J-10 is being offered for export.

Why don't China buy Mig 29 ?

Because they Only Need Engine for J 10 and J 10 is nearly equal to MIG 29

That is why they buy AL 31 from Russia

But China is buying SU 35 because China wants the Latest RADAR and EW technologies
from Russia

It's not a loss when the other alternative is for Russia not to obtain any profit at all.

MiG 29 and J 10 have the SAME price and SAME capabilities

SO Russia will sell AL 31 to China which will then sell J 10 to other countries

It is like Axing your own foot

Please re-read the post. The J-10 is being offered for export.

You did nt answer the main question about Engine

With WHICH engine are you offering J 10

How many Tejas have you sold? Not a troll post, seriously. You will soon find, you can sell exactly 0 during its entire lifetime.

India is finally making your own weapons, you hear reports of Philippines sale, Vietnam sale, you know how many you actually sold? I mean pen on paper? 0. This is the nature of all sales, until the ink dries, it doesn't mean jack.

A fighter deal is insanely hard to reach. All arms deals are hard to reach. Politics is just as important as capability. Russia may have been a defeated superpower, but their influence is not 0. Even their left over influence is far more than China many times over. The relationship with India is one.

I agree with you ; BUT It is Not about Tejas or International Politics

This is ONE question that has NEVER been asked or answered on PDF

Has Russia ALLOWED the Re sale of AL 31 as a part of J 10

Do you think Russia's radar and electronic warfare technology is very advanced?

Yes it is Better than China's Technology

My guess is that J-10 Price Tag is somewhere around 30-50 Million which conflicts with JF-17. Also every customers wants to add or remove some features in Avionics and Weaponry which will take further testing and configuration and all these things can be easily done in JF-17 or already have.

However there could be some other reason as well for not doing the publicity as its done for JF-17.

J 10 is more capable than JF 17 and hence more expensive

J 10 is nearly equal to MIG 29 and F 16 in international Arms markets

However there could be some other reason as well for not doing the publicity as its done for JF-17.

The reason is simple

J 10 competes with MIG 29

But right now it is fitted with Russian engine ; so it Russia allows the Resale of AL 31 ie as
a part of J 10 -- The Russian MIG 29 will not get sold

Mig 29 is still being bought -- Egypt bought 50 recently
