Why no export-success for the J-10 so far ?

We do not have either alien technology nor stolen technology.
How about first getting proper sanitation technology before making a fool of yourself as like you're in any position to mock others regarding "fighter jet"
Seriously, WHAT do you have to show the world except extreme poverty and top the world hunger chart on a yearly basis? please have some self respect like normal human will do, claw back to your well of shame for good, thankyou

Other than Pakistan, no other country trust, rely on Chinese high end war equipment like J10.

So why you're so stupid to rely on Chinese weapons as a Pakistani?
Oh wait, perhaps you are a just another "false flagger" instead?

To my Chinese friends, let the trolls say what they say, ignore them you know where you stand and people who criticize your technology are the ones who are probably criticizing using PCs and phones that were made in your country.

The reason for no export orders is likely same as what happened when FBC-1 was pitched to Pakistan and Iran, production rate was too slow so just to meet local demand, export customers had a waiting period. As for J-10, its an excellent aircraft but again China has a huge internal demand for the jet also the most anticipated version the J-10B/FC-20 was only put in limited production. J-10C is the actual aircraft in full production and announced couple of months ago.

Pakistan had its hand full with the JF-17 inductions and when the J-10 was offered it was inducting Erieyes, K-8 Karakorams and F-16MLU upgrades. Finances have never been a major issue with Chinese products, but inducting a new platform would have caused operational stress. Then it got relief in the form of additional F-16s used and new.

Success of the JF-17 project and unlikely hood of a full war because of Pakistan's global importance in the war on terror, has meant J-10 although superior, can be bypassed for a future platform.

PAF has toyed around with various platform evaluations but they are actually playing a long game. From what I've understood from official Air Chief interviews PAF is now planning for and creating resources for an aircraft which will replace its oldest F-16s post 2025.

So reason for no J-10 orders has nothing to do with the aircraft or its capability. Its a very good match to american Super Hornets.

You cant compare a single engine plane with a double one, also the F18 easly out classes the J10

http://www.aviatia.net/j-10-vs-super-hornet/

A better comparison would be either of the two:

http://www.aviatia.net/j-10-vs-f-16/

http://www.aviatia.net/saab-gripen-vs-chengdu-j-10/

And You believe this trash ??? ... This whole site is nothing more than some sort of Quartets (card game) based on date (dimensions alone) that are mostly wrong and in all other parts based on pure guesswork, imagination and the author's will to show the superiority of his favoured designs.

Or please explain me what's his source for a operating-cost-per hour comparison ??

Simply forget that BS.

Alright done but you have to agree that comparing a F18 with the J10 is not correct.

No, why should it be not correct ?
Both are surely aimed at slightly different markets and operational requirements (esp. the Hornet as a naval fighter) but on the export market both are looking for a marker-share in about the same niche.
Yes, the Hornet is similar to the MiG-29 more on the higher (weight) level and as such the J-10 more comparable to the F-16, but in how many "competitions" so far did the F-16 compete versus the F-18 ?? So why should it be wrong to compare a J-10 - which is heavier and larger than a F-16 - with a F-18?

Just in this regard ... wouldn't be the J-10B/C an ideal candidate to replace the Malaysian MiG-29??? (even if I know they prefer currently the €Fighter or Rafale)

F18 is definitely a multi-role fighter/attacker with impressive low attitude performance. But J-10 has more interceptor features.Actually the roles they play are slightly different.

J-10A and J-10B were not high on the selling list because 1, foreign engines might have a problem in the case of Pakistan; 2, huge domestic need to replace the obsolete f7 and train bulk of pilots with 3rd generation of fighter and last, perhaps J-10C would be the choice of fighter that China wishes to export to selected strategic partner countries. Maybe Thailand and Cambodia, etc.

And on what basis are you claiming that? How would you even make such an offhand comparison when there are multiple variants of both platforms, each with its own set of capabilities/performances?

lmao really? why don't you just look at the current Air show that's being held. A comment coming coming like this from a "senior member" makes me wanna just :suicide:

Young people may not know that YF-16 and YF-17 were competing in USAF LWF program and YF-16 won and became F-16. YF-17 turned to US Navy, after modification for aircraft carrier operation, it became FA-18.

In short YF-16 (F-16) and YF-17 (FA-18) are in same class despite difference in number of engines.

So if J10 is comparable to F-16, how is it not comparable to FA-18, just because FA-18 has two engines?

In fact, J-10 are build to outclass both F-16 and F-18.

How about selling to Pakistan...they are looking for something to counter Rafale
