Why Malaysian Malays hate Chinese?

Even in Islam, there will be two groups that will go to heaven, one group that has so close to their God will be in the best place ( muqarrabun ), the other group ( also real believers) is in the second place. The best people are prophets, and after that just leaders, and so on, and so on.

Well, it's very complicated.

I have another question, do you guys ever pray for others, family, lover, teacher or non-Muslim? Or just pray for yourselves.

Malays are lazy in general and envious of Chinese success. I don't want to generalize but in this world it appear darker skin people tend to be lazier and usually their country is not developed.

I don't know about Malaysian Malay, but i know for sure that skin are not good indicator about laziness or entrepreneurship spirit. Moldova is whiter than Indo for sure, but they have lower GDP per capita. In USA, melting pot country, Asian have higher income than white, with India, Taiwan and Philippine as the top Asian American.

Also not everyone has the same priority on life. For example Chinese usually only focus on family and wealth, putting low priority or ignoring religion altogether. But who knows for sure in the end who is going to have the last laugh......

The pray I means is like that if you guys pray for those Nepalis victims when they suffered the horrible earthquake, pray for their safety and fast rebuilt. Like similar.

The list of top richest people in Malaysia cannot be used as indication of power of certain ethic group in the country. There are billionaires and millionaires that cannot be listed because they can't show officially how they got the money from. We can also assume most of them are very powerful politicians and the cronies (Crony capitalism).

Before independent, Malay might have insignificant power. However, everything changed now (politic). Malay (especially UMNO) is controlling everything, either direct or indirect. You seriously think they are stupid especially the elite?

The reasons are following which you (if you are Malaysian) should have your answer:
1. Who hold the police and arm force?
2. Who hold the top posts in the government?
3. Who hold the top posts in all GLC (government linked companies)? Why care about some rich private companies that are poorer than those GLC?
4. Who hold the top posts in Petronas, the national oil company who contribute significant revenue to the country every year?

The current crisis (including the relation between different ethic group) is all because of politic. Those elite do this because of power and money, it doesn't matter what ethic group they belong to. Of course i admit that there are some people (Insignificant) think that Malay own the land and others should go back where they came from .

The Johor Sultanate cant even claim back his territory as the influx of Chinese from China mainland or from other Malay province gather there and outnumber his own people and in the end just settle for annual cash from Singapore government.

And if one have a look at top 20 richest people in Malaysia. only 3 are Malays & 17 are Chinese. The whole piece of Malaysia was just fishing villages and fruit crops hunter and majority of Malays will still be in the farming, fishing, agro field for quite some decades to come. They wont be controlling real estate biz and construction field any time soon, where real money flows.

It depends on the person, if he/she has good faith, better deeds, very good heart, so they will pray for other people, even for non-Muslim, just like our prophet. Do you know that our prophet always feed a blind and old jews women until his death (after that Abu Bakar ( first caliphate) continue feeding that old lady).........?

For me, I am still focusing at my self since I still have many problem going on.................

But as Muslim, some time pray is not enough, we must do something tangible than just ask to the God to help other people. I do feel what is going on Syria and other Muslim areas where Muslim are killing each other. Muslim is asked not to be selfish by our God.

There are two definition of "Malay". First one is ethnic Malay, obviously they are the real blooded Malay. The other Malays are people who converted to Islam, changed to Malay names and practised Malay ways of life. And under the Malaysian law, they are legally Malay and have the same rights as the ethnic Malays.

This second group of Malays originally came as aliens (as one of the poster said so), they came from Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Middle East, China, Europe etc. Ironically these are the people who formed the elite Muslim group with power and wealth.

One of my friend (from a wealthy family) from the state of Kedah who is a constitutionalised Malay (as against ethnic Malay) always meet people that complained about Malaysian ethnic Chinese and Malaysian ethnic Indians being treated like a second class citizens.

They talked to him not realising that he is a Malay, because every part of his body/look said that he is Indian. Of course in reality he is of South Indian origin but he has to be a Muslim "Malay" in order to enjoy all the privilege and priority given to Malay. Another Malay who has a totally South Indian look is the chief minister of the Perak state.
