With all due respect sir, isn't this quite typical of how these things work in most nations- that institutions/structures are named after notable personalities posthumously? I think it would be quite strange and morbid to begin naming things after people whilst they are still alive.

I was enlightened about this concept by this video some time ago:

in the end this whole Aurangzeb road drama it's going to turn out about as well as the 'Rajiv Chowk' thing has

in Delhi it's still Connaught place (c.p), it's still "Bombay" and "Banglore" .. of the other renaming stuff I think only Madras> Chennai managed some traction with the masses, and the bongs have pronounced it funny forever but it's still "Calcutta" for the world.
