Why is the Rafale outselling even the F-35? (since 2021)

because muslim majotiry countries is haven? that why people run away from this caustries to the was and not opositte

When will Europe give up their Islamophobic policies like banning Burqinis.

If given an option every immigrant will choose US or Canada over Europe.

Europeans are Islamophobic fascists.

Immigrating to Europe is our right as Europe colonised and plundered our wealth for centuries.

I do know and I also know that ever since the French and Swedes screwed up and preferred the Indians, you guys got mad. Although,I think you could have had better relations with the French if you wanted.
Sweden does not ”prefer” India. Pakistan simply does not meet the criteria needed to get approval for buying certain weapons. Too many coups… That means that weapons useful to repress the population will not be approved while stuff like EriEye, used to defend the country can still be approved

The Swedish Air Force commander explained that the Russian invasion of Ukraine motivated Sweden to develop a brand new strategy for a new generation of combatant aircraft.

If Sweden produces a next-generation jet with minumum logistical footprint and operating cost such Gripens, it will probably show a way to other European manufacturers as well. The Swedish aerospace industry is probably one of the most successful in the world in terms of resource management and systems engineering.

By the way,I read that Sweden will give a squadron of Gripen to Ukraine, but they won't be ready until 2027....lol

With the guarantee of the French Public Treasury, they have developed a very successful financial package model, which includes long-term loan financings, 70% to 80% of which are provided by France.

Those who have followed the project since the beginning will know that the aircraft lags behind in many tenders in the first period due to its high initial acquisition costs and life-cycle costs. The French Ministry of Defense and the French Public Treasury seem to have worked very hard on these disadvantages in this context.

The other issue is the import of political support. If you look closely at the geopolitical conditions, current regional problems and realpolitik of the buying countries, you can clearly see this.

The third issue is the diversification of the combat elements of the importing air force according to different logistics resources. An active role here is that it is the most important European resource due to the state of US policies in recent years and the financial package it currently has for countries that do not have the political conditions to buy Russian or Chinese planes.

Is the Rafale a failed jet? No way. When you look at the Internet archives, you see such titles 4-5 years ago, but this is not true. If a Rafale with the same systems used by the French air force can be obtained, its users have a very capable platform. Rafale is also very flexible platform that is constantly evolving.

Agree - the French developed the IP which they own and they can develop and sell for Profit. A lesson that was lost on the UK which always looks at "market efficiency" over developing local IP and which has led to large scale degradation of UKs Defence manufacturing capabilities ...

The supercruising, Meteor slinging, tighter turning Rafale gets a clear win here. The F-35 will need to rely on guile and sneak attacks, a tall order given the Rafale's excellent sensors and defensive capabilities. The Rafale's SPECTRA suite has gained notoriety for being one of the best EW suites available.
The Rafale makes for an impressive bomber, able to carry over 20,000lbs of ordnance on 14 hardpoints.

The F-35 has only 10 hardpoints and carries one ton less than the Rafale.
The Rafale can carry massive amounts of fuel in external drop tanks. It can also be utilized for "buddy" refueling.

As of now, the F-35 has no external fuel tanks. Some concepts exist, but problems with separation have pushed external tank capability back indefinitely.

Both of these fighters were designed as "all-in-one" systems capable of fulfilling all of your fighter needs... With a few caveats.

The Rafale has three different flavors available. A single-seat CTOL air force variant, a two-seat CTOL variant, and a single-seat naval variant capable of CATOBAR operations. All versions carry similar weapon loads, with the naval Rafale M sacrificing a weapon pylon.

F-35 is vastly superior jet fighter.

The catch is that F-35 is not for sale to many countries.

Nice article link !!! thanks.

There is fuss around the corner that USA is tweaking its NDDA for India to approve its F35 sale.

All these fantastic Jets of the modern day make me wonder what kind of advanced Jets were flown in the first civilization that disappeared millions of years ago

Sweden back in the early 2000s offered the Gripen to the PAF. At that time the PAF was looking to procure 75 F16s instead fore the 2005 earthquake in pak. In hindsight I wish we would have gone for at least 36-50 gripens rather than just 18 F16s. The Gripens along with the Eireye awacs would have been significant force multipliers. That along with the fact that technology could have been procured for the JF17 would have been a much much better value proposition.

No, Sweden did not offer to sell the Gripen. Musharraf stated during a visit that Pakistan was interested, but was told that it was out of the question.
Sweden allowed Pakistan to buy EriEye since that has a different classification.

”There is no question of selling them weapons or anything directly related to weapons," Swedish Foreign Minister Laila Freivalds said after her talks with visiting Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf in Stockholm on Tuesday.

It might be the Czech Gripens, if they buy the F-35.
