Why is South India paying for North India

Currently Southern Indian states are more developed and doing much better economically than the Northern states which leads to the strange situation that Southern states pay for the development of the Northern states without any gain.

It's True. South Indians haven't gone over an historical scar of seeing their culture, places of worship looted, being ruled by bigots that defines most of the culture in the north.

You would be actually even amused to find even Muslims in the north are too radicalized than in South as they want an old Glory back. It's an irony they were never part of an ruling elite but they felt an sense of belonging to an slavery by Turks, Afghans and Mughals. I am not blaming today's Muslims for whatever happened in the past, but the historical friction exists between the two communities in the north.

However with time I believe north can come out of its scar, become peaceful, leave caste issues aside and become an economic powerhouse of its.own right. Will take time. Performance based devolution will kick in some moves from political class I hope.

East Pakistan was the majority of the population and far away...the north injuns forcefully subdued the south injuns at gun point. I see the isolation & hatred between the two on a daily basis.

What kind of sacrifice are you talking about? The Empires which saved South India from the Turkic invaders were the Vijayanagar Empire and later the Maratha Empire. So no we are not indebted to them as it does not have anything to do with North Indians

South India, North India, East India, West India are just different geographical regions of India. Of course, in any country nothing is uniform all over. You'll always see variations/differences in terms of economic prosperity in any geographical region of a country. Nothing to worry about for India. We may come from any part of India, but we always first and foremost consider ourselves as Indians. And then comes our state identity, regional identity, city identity, locality identity,etc.
Funny how Pakistanis over here are saying South India is better than North India but are always quick enough to being racist against Indians in general.

Does Pakistan view non-Muslims as human beings. The Constitution of Pakistan clearly discriminates against non-Muslims if they want to occupy higher positions of office like President/PM. So clearly, there is a bifurcation of Muslims vs non-Muslims instead of looking at everyone as human beings.

These are ridiculous arguments. Without the support of underpaid laborers from UP/Bihar, all construction activities in India will come to a grinding halt. Bengali and Orissa workers support the diamond industry in Surat.

The urbanite scumbag Indians who write these columns are not capable of a day's hard work. Some take a nap everyday between 1 to 4 PM. The ones who work in the air-conditioned offices of Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Pune take TWENTY-THIRTY breaks throughout their 8-hour shift. These pampered Indians are not self-sufficient like the Westerners leaving a few exceptions. Most require the services of maids, cooks, gardeners etc. just to get through their everyday lives.

Give a pampered Indian a piece of work and he will find twenty excuses to avoid it.They are the laziest people on earth.

People do not quite get how macroeconomic tabulations dont apply to the real situation on the ground. You cant delineate this stuff (when there is so much swirling on the ground to begin with) and then say oh A is carrying the burden of B in some neat absolute way.

Some have even been racist particularly to South Indians....having been on receiving end of it here myself before.

They lose argument on something or simply are that bad of a person underneath it.

Then in another thread they will speak positively of south india w.r.t north india...the agenda is quite clear and blatant to anyone with even one basic brain cell.

You will find them cling to all kind of things to disguise and deflect from their true feelings and hypocrisies in majority of topics sometimes....but in certain topics, it all comes off and you see the true person.

There are also good Pakistani members that call them out on it resolutely. They long earned my respect.
