Why is Europe considered a continent?

Why is Europe considered a continent when it's obviously part of Asia. India and Arabia have more claim in being continents geographically then "Europe", due to the fact that both of these geographic locations belong to separate tectonic plates.

Is it culture? well no.. since again Asia is already diverse without Europe.. Southwest Asia, India, East Asia, Northeast Asia etc.

Europe is nothing more than a part of Asia; a certain region, Northwestern Asia, as Arabia is part of Asia, Southwest Asia.

The only reason Europe is considered a continent, is due to the fact that Eurocentric's desire to have a homeland of their own separate from other parts of Asia? It seems to be completely social and political and even racial.

Europeans are Asians, Northwestern Asians.

So why is Europe considered a Continent?
