Why india sent reconnaissance balloon over Bangladesh?

Last Saturday an indian balloon crashed in Jhenaidah district inside Bangladesh. Label indicates electronic equipments belongs to indian space institution, or is it?

Questions are:

1)why india sent recon balloon over Bangladesh violating Bangladesh airspace?
2) What was real purpose of indian recon balloon?
3) Why Awami govt and its authority are mute about this indian violation and intention?

if you want to be a funny center if attraction go on.

anyway my guess is
we had installed our INDIAN indigenous radar on that balloon and since it was indigenous it off course had faults so could not recognise that it was in bangladeshi airspace and hence failed to take a turn back in INDIAN air space.

Small correction, Mr.Kapoor. That is a Barograph, it records barometric pressure trends w.r.t. time. That is used as a meteorological prognosis tool. And BTW, the instrumentation package is from a weather balloon, nothing to do with space studies.
