Why India is on the brink of an unprecedented power crisis

Solar is around 10%. It's still not bad. Our renewable energy source is at around 30% including wind, hydro etc. As far as I know I talk to my parents everyday and there is no power cut as of yet.
Not saying we won't be facing issues. But it won't be too long or serious as China is facing right now. We have import Coal from Australia (whom China refuses to import) or Indonesia to make up for our shortfall.

China produces the same electricity as entire G7.

China: 7,503,400 GWh

G7: 7,570,600 GWh

US: 4,286,600
Japan: 1,004,800
Canada: 643,900
Germany: 571,900
France: 524,900
Italy: 282,700
Spain: 255,800

You are nowhere near even comparing to China. We have same population but you have 1/5 the power production.

Don't be an ignorant. In Socialist countries like Libya and USSR electricity was free. So was housing, healthcare etc.

And I shouldn't be giving examples. The idea itself is a fine one.
go to libya or time travel back to USSR

Solar, hydro and nuclear energy...

No bhai, those are obsolete methods. We need safe, secure, decentralized and application-level electricity generation. :) Please see second paragraph of post# 29 and then posts# 38 to 41.

Talk about storm in a teacup.

Calm down guys, I look at it in a positive way, more electricity consumptions means more industrial growth means more economical activity.

India will work it out.

Indian Gov with its lunatic media wing only need to start a fabricated story of LOC, Pakistan China collaboration and Indian minds will forget any domestic issue and have full attention of their masters sat in New Delhi.
