I can do the same thing in America too, take pictures of the dirtiest places and then claim the nation is dirty. All nations are dirty, some nations just have a harder time hiding it from the public.

The second one seems to be written by a dumbass on the hunt for trash.But yes, there is a long way to go for us and hopefully as the standard of life, and the quality of education improve the country should be cleaner. U.P is the worst in this regard.Enforcing strict rules is also important. When Delhi metro started, many people thought it would be full of garbage in a month. But even today it is quite clean and people never litter on the metro.

There is a lot to be done before India can become clean.The attitude of people should change first.

Its not just the attitude mate, India definitly lacks the infrastructure to maintain a clean environment. Several Indians,including me are ready to pick up the broom to clean our areas of work and living,but the question rises,where would we dump the waste? Indian cities and rural areas doesn't have anything remotely close to effective waste management systems! If the local authority keeps clean dump bins in front of everyhouse, which is emptied everyday by the authority,I bet half of our trouble would be over!
