Why Gulf countries cannot accept migrants

The GCC have an obligation to take in their fellow Muslims. Anyone who says otherwise, especially in the GCC, is probably an ultra nationalistic idiot.

That being said, other countries have an obligation to take in refugees. The people who extended the war by saving Assad in 2012 (Iran, China, Russia, DPRK) all have an obligation to take in refugees. Now in all honesty, no Syrians would want to go to the shitholes called Iran, China, Russia, & DPRK, but at least those countries should have had the decency to at least show interest in taking in refugees or donating money to refugees. But none did that. 0$ have been donated by countries that support Assad to refugees.
Meanwhile, the GCC, who still have an obligation to take in refugees, have donated millions, if not billions. Qatar IIRC pledged and insane amount of money to rebuild Syria after it's freed. At least they show some decency in pledging money for refugees now and for Syria after the revolution is over. But countries that support Assad haven't taken on such an initiative.

Refugees must be helped. But the root of the problem must also be removed. Assad and his regime need to be removed with an elected government put in place by the Syrian people, not by the US, not by Iran, not by Russia, but by the Syrian people.

The crisis in Syria was well into makjng life hell for Syrians before Iran or Russia did anything. Russia and Iran were urging talks while Turkey and Qatar were pouring in money and arms to every thug they could find and said they weren't interested in talks. Any smart political analyst can guess why. They had just disposed of Ghadaffi and brought their islamist thugs to power and the muslim brother hood in Egypt had succeeded with Morsi so they were high on their power.

But nothing went to their plan. Libya becane worse after ghadaffi, morsi was imprisoned and muslim brotherhoods killed.

How could this crisis have been averted? Easy. Turkey and Qatar stayed out of it, or if they wanted to get involved, they could have pushed for talks with Assad to bring about reforms.

Also, don't be a child. Don't call my country a shithole. Enjoy your adapted country and be safe, no need to insult a country that has 80 million people living in it.

That is a video of 2013. Massacres of Syrians weren't that known on main stream media. There were even pro-Assad rallies during that days in couple of locations. You don't see that anymore. The Saudi National Campaign for the Support of Brothers in Syria concluded today, raising more than $66 million. Under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the five-day campaign encouraged Saudi citizens and residents to support the people of Syria as they face prolonged suffering at the hands of their own government.

King Abdullah donated more than $5 million to the fund while Crown Prince Salman, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense gave more than $2.5 million. Large quantities of in-kind donations, including foodstuffs, medicines, medical appliances, clothes, tents, blankets and jewelry were also collected. The campaign will continue to accept cash donations through its account at the National Commercial Bank. In-kind donations will be accepted throughout the Kingdom until Monday, July 30.

“Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Syrian people in their time of need,” said Saudi Ambassador to the United States Adel A. Al-Jubeir.

In addition to humanitarian aid, Saudi Arabia continues to call for a transition of power in Syria of power, as well as the enforcement of U.N. sanctions against the Syrian regime. The Kingdom has asked for the issue of Syria to be forwarded to the U.N. Security Council under Chapter VII of the U.N. Charter and an end to the transfer of arms to the Syrian regime

August 2, 2012
The Minister of the Interior and General Supervisor of the Saudi National Campaign to Support Brothers in Syria, Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, today ordered the first relief convoy of assistance to be delivered to displaced Syrians in Jordan. The convoy consisted of 43 truckloads carrying foodstuffs and in-kind items contributed by the people of Saudi Arabia.

On July 21, 2012, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz ordered the immediate establishment of the national campaign, giving Saudi citizens and residents a channel to offer their support to the Syrian people as they continue to suffer the cruelty of the Syrian regime. The campaign raised nearly $125 million for the people of Syria. In addition, large quantities of in-kind donations, including foodstuffs, medicines, medical appliances, clothes, tents and blankets have been collected.

December 4, 2012
The Jordanian Office of the Saudi National Campaign to Support the Brothers in Syria has distributed food to Syrian refugees in the areas of Ramtha, Sahab and Amman. In a press statement, the Director of the Campaign in Jordan, Saad Mahanna Al-Sweed, said that 670 Syrian refugee families benefited from the Campaign’s aid. Food baskets stocked with over sixteen varieties of basic food items, including sugar and rice, were handed out to those in need.

The Kingdom announced today that it has recognized the Syrian National Coalition as the legitimate representative of the Syrian people and that it plans to provide $100 million in assistance to help alleviate the humanitarian crisis. This came in a speech by Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, who is leading a delegation to the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends of the Syrian People held in Marrakesh, Morocco.

[Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal headed the Saudi delegation to the 4th Ministerial Meeting for the Group of Friends of the Syrian People yesterday in Marrakesh, Morocco. Prince Saud announced the Kingdom’s recognition of the Syrian National Coalition as a legitimate representative of the Syrian people and pledged $100 million in assistance on behalf of the Saudi government to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people.

In his speech, Prince Saudi said, “We hope that the formation of the coalition will enable the Syrian opposition to develop a comprehensive and clear perspective including the rights of all Syrian people in order to achieve the noble aspirations of the Syrian people in maintaining the unity of Syria's territories, people, sovereignty and independence.”

Prince Saud highlighted the humanitarian situation in Syria as the main concern, in light of the increasing number of Syrian refugees, and announced the Kingdom’s donation of $100 million in assistance through the Syrian National Coalition. January 3, 2013
The National Campaign in Support of the Brotherly People of Syria in Lebanon (NCSBPSL) today continued the distribution of food and blankets to displaced Syrians in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon. The director of the campaign's office in Beirut, Walid Jalal, said that1,000 food rations and 4,000 blankets were distributed today to 1,000 families. Last month, the campaign initiated a campaign to distribute 100,000 blankets to Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

January 11, 2013
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has issued directives to the Ministry of Finance to provide $10 million in urgent relief assistance for displaced Syrians in Jordan. The order came after the King was briefed on the refugees’ suffering amid harsh winter conditions in the region. The first batch of aid, consisting of sheets, blankets, mattresses and other supplies, was sent last night and is expected to arrive later today.

Meanwhile, Minister of Interior Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, who is the Supervisor General of the Saudi National Campaign to Support Syrian Refugees, ordered the provision of supplies costing SR 24 million [$6.4 million] for Syrian refugees at the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan. The aid will include 1,000 tents, 12,000 food baskets,7,000 heaters, and 100,000 blankets.

The Saudi National Campaign for the Relief of Syrian Refugees today received 9,000frozen carcasses of sacrificial meat, which will be distributed to Syrian refugees in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey. The distribution, which will provide 3,000 carcasses to each country, will take place in coordination with the Saudi Project for the Utilization of Hajj Meat, which is being managed by the Islamic Development Bank Group.

Meanwhile, the Saudi National Campaign for the Relief of the Somali People has received10,000 frozen carcasses of sacrificial meat, which will be distributed to beneficiaries in Somalia.

Upon the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi National Campaign for the Support of the Brothers in Syria distributed assistance to Syrian refugees in the Arssal Region in northern Lebanon yesterday. In a statement, the Director of the Campaign’s Beirut Office, Waleed Al-Jalal, said that the aid included 6,800blankets.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance issued a statement reporting that the Campaign has delivered SR 37.49 million [$10 million] worth of relief supplies for Syrian refugees in the Al-Zaatari refugee camp in northern Jordan.

The International Islamic Relief Organization of Saudi Arabia (IIROSA), an affiliate of the Muslim World League, has distributed 2,000 food baskets and 8,400 blankets in Jordan over the past week. The assistance was provided to 30,000 Syrian and Palestinian refugees, as well as poor families in Jordan.

The Saudi National Campaign to Support the Brothers in Syria began the distribution today of 28 truckloads of emergency aid to Syrian refugees living in camps in Jordan, in cooperation with the Jordanian Charitable Society. The Campaign’s Director of Coordination and Follow-Up, Yousef Al-Rahmah, said that the assistance included 7,000heaters and 7,000 gas cylinders. He added that tomorrow the Campaign will distribute 500food baskets to Syrian refugees in the King Abdullah Gardens in Al-Ramtha. He reported that the Campaign has coordinated with the Governor of Irbid and the Jordanian Red Crescent Authority to draw up a plan to distribute aid to Syrian refugees in the governorate.

Meanwhile, the Campaign has continued the distribution of assistance to Syrian refugees in the Al-Thania region in northern Lebanon. Waleed Al-Jalal, the Director of the Campaign’s Office in Lebanon, said that 1,500 food baskets and 2,000 blankets were provided to more than 500 refugee families yesterday.

Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah opened the International Donors Conference for Syria today with the participation of 59 countries and 13 organizations and humanitarian and relief agencies of the United Nations. The Saudi delegation is being led by Minister of Finance Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf.

During his address to the conference, Al-Assaf announced that, in line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Kingdom is providing $345 million in assistance to the Syrian people. A total of $125 million will be used to provide aid in coordination with a number of U.N. agencies. The remaining $225 million, Al-Assaf said, “will be spent in the coming period in cooperation with the countries neighboring Syria and various U.N. organizations.” He added that $100 million worth of in-kind humanitarian assistance has been provided, including tents, food, medicines and medical supplies, and 2,500 houses.

The Saudi National Campaign for the Support of the Brothers in Syria has signed a joint agreement with the World Health Organization (WHO) to provide a series of urgently needed health programs for displaced Syrians inside of Syria. The initiatives include the distribution of SR 7.9 million [$2.11 million] worth of medicine and medical supplies, as well as the provision of health services and vaccination programs.

The agreement was signed in Cairo today by Dr. Saaid Al-Harthi, the Advisor to Minister of Interior Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, and Dr. Alaa Aldain Al-Alwan, the WHO Regional Director. Dr. Al-Harthi noted that the Kingdom is also currently providing assistance to Syrian refugees in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey. For his part, Dr. Al-Alwan thanked the Kingdom for its humanitarian assistance to the Syrian people.

The humanitarian aid, which consists of forty-one truckloads of foodstuffs and other supplies, is expected to arrive in Jordan tomorrow evening.

The Saudi National Campaign to Support the Brothers in Syria has continued to implement various relief programs in Lebanon to alleviate the suffering and provide for the needs of Syrian refugees. The Director of the Campaign’s Office in Lebanon, Walid bin Ali Al-Jalal, said that during the past few months, the Campaign has distributed 26,892 food baskets; 91,581 blankets; 2,026 diesel heaters; and 672 copies of the Holy Quran in Lebanon.

The Saudi National Campaign to Support the Syrian Brothers in Lebanon has distributed30,000 baskets containing food, medicine and other supplies, as well as 100,000 blankets, to refugees since the beginning of the conflict in Syria. The Campaign’s Director, Walid Al-Jalal, reports that 100,000 mattresses, 2,500 heating devices and 30,000 rations have also been distributed as part of the first phase of the operation. In addition, the Campaign will pay housing rents for 1,000 displaced Syrian families and sponsor 3,000 students at all levels of education.

Following the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi National Campaign to Support the Brothers in Syria has rented 1,000apartments to accommodate displaced Syrian families in Lebanon. The Campaign has also undertaken the payment of tuition for 3,000 Syrian students at Lebanese schools, at a cost of SR 16.1 million [$4.3 million].

Meanwhile, the Director of the Campaign’s Beirut Office, Waleed Al-Jalal said in a press statement today that 4,000 mattresses and over 500 kg of dates have been distributed to refugees in Beirut.

Since its inception, the Saudi Campaign has funded relief programs and humanitarian projects for displaced Syrians in Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon at a cost of more than SR 350 million [$93.33 million].

The regional office of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) in Iraqi Kurdistan has distributed new aid to Syrian refugees residing in northern Iraq. The organization provided baby milk and food, as well as other items for children, to more than seventy Syrian families in the Erbil and Dohuk governates.

According to the Director of the Campaign’s Amman Office, Saad bin Muhanna Sweid, 933 caravans have been set up since the beginning of this month.

Meanwhile, the Campaign has signed two agreements to sponsor 3,000 displaced Syrian students in Lebanon.

The International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO), an affiliate of the Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL), is continuing to distribute food and blankets to displaced Syrians in northern Lebanon. In a statement, the Director of the MWL in Lebanon, Abdulkarim Al-Moosa, said that more than 800 food rations have been distributed in the city of Saida and 1,200 food rations have been provided in the Al-Khorob region. He noted that the MWL has begun establishing reception centers for refugees where aid is given out.

The General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) issued a statement today denouncing Hezbollah’s intervention in the Syrian conflict and warning of consequences for the organization’s interests in GCC states. “As the GCC strongly condemns the blatant interference of Lebanese Hezbollah in the Syrian crisis and its consequent killing of innocent civilians, it considers that Hezbollah’s participation in shedding the blood of the brotherly Syrian people has revealed the nature of this party and its real objectives, which surpass the borders of Lebanon and the Arab homeland,” it read.

The General Secretariat declared, “The illegal interventions of Hezbollah and the heinous practices of its militias in Syria will harm its interests in the GCC’s member countries.” Furthermore, “The GCC Ministerial Council has decided to consider action against any members of Hezbollah in the GCC countries, both in their residency or their financial and trade transactions.”

The statement concluded, “The GCC also calls on the Lebanese government to assume its responsibilities towards the behavior of Hezbollah and its illegal and inhuman practices both in Syria and the region.”

In a statement, the Campaign announced that it will distribute Ramadan food baskets to refugees in Lebanon, Turkey and Jordan. The Saudi National Campaign to Support the Brothers in Syria continued the first phase of the distribution of 30,000 Ramadan food baskets to Syrian refugees in Lebanon today. The Director of the Campaign’s Beirut Office, Walid Jalal, said in a statement that his organization provided 2,000 food baskets to 2,000 displaced families in the town of Marj in the Chouf region of the Beqa’a Valley. Two days earlier, the Campaign handed out 2,500baskets to Syrians in the city of Sidon in southern Lebanon.

The Campaign also sent a convoy of 100 trailers laden with 50,000 Ramadan baskets containing eighteen types of foodstuffs for Syrian refugees in Jordan today. The mission, which is being carried out in collaboration with the UN World Food Program (WFP) and other humanitarian organizations, was inaugurated with the participation of Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Fahd Al-Zaid and senior UN and Jordanian officials.

Since the start of the holy month of Ramadan, the Kingdom has launched a number of programs to provide Iftar (fast-breaking) meals to needy Muslims in several different countries.

The International Islamic Relief Organization of Saudi Arabia (IIROSA), an affiliate of the Muslim World League (MWL), has begun the implementation of a project to provide Iftar meals in remote areas in Afghanistan. During the first six days of Ramadan, 1,000 food baskets were distributed.

Meanwhile, in Turkey, the Saudi National Campaign for the Relief of the Brothers in Syria launched a Ramadan Iftar Meal Project for fasting Syrian refugees.

Finally, Saudi Ambassador in Khartoum Faisal bin Hamed Mualla has kicked off the Project of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud for Providing Iftar Meals for Ramadan Fasters in Sudan. The Saudi Embassy’s Religious Attaché, Dr. Sulaiman Al-Fiheid, said that the project, launched four years ago, provides diversified meals and has targeted 375,000 needy fasters in Sudan.

Upon the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi National Campaign for the Support of the Brothers in Syria is running a number of mobile bakeries to provide bread to Syrian refugees in Turkey. The Director of the Campaign’s Ankara Office, Khalid Al-Salamah, said that the new initiative, involving baking and distributing bread, will expand to other border areas and encompass more refugees in the near future.

The Saudi National Campaign for the Support of the Brothers in Syria has completed the first phase of its plan to distribute 35,000 Ramadan food baskets to Syrian refugees in Lebanon. The humanitarian supplies were handed out to displaced Syrians in various regions of the country.

The Saudi Campaign to Support the Brothers in Syria delivered 1,000 new caravans, worthSR 9 million [$2.4 million], to Syrian refugees in Jordan. The Campaign has now provided a total of 3,500 caravans to the displaced Syrians. The Kingdom’s initiative to replace tents with sturdier caravans aims to help the residents of refugee camps withstand harsh environmental conditions.

Meanwhile, the Campaign completed the second phase of its distribution of 4,500Ramadan baskets to Syrian families in the Ramtha and Madaba governates.

August 1, 2013
The Saudi Campaign to Support the Brothers in Syria distributed 21,000 meals to Syrian refugees in the Jordanian city of Erbed yesterday, in collaboration with several local charity associations. The Campaign’s Director in Amman, Saad bin Muhanna Al-Suwayed, said in a press statement that 25,000 meals will be distributed today, in cooperation with the Al-Shura Association in Amman. He noted that since the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan, more than 50,000 iftar (fast-breaking) meals have been distributed in the Al-Zaatari refugee camp and other provinces in Jordan.

While attending an extraordinary Arab League Foreign Ministers meeting in Cairo, Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal today again urged the international community to do all that it can to prevent aggression against the Syrian people which has led to the death of more than 100,000.

“We cannot bear seeing Syrian people being shelled with poisonous gases this way,” said Prince Saud. “We urge the international community to stop aggression by the Syrian regime against its people.”

Prince Saud also said that “We need to help the Syrian people by halting the bloodshed, and not by merely condemning the violence. But we need to help them by all legal means possible against aggression that will almost make Syrians extinct.”

Regarding the prospect of a military strike, Prince Saud stated, “We stand by the will of the Syrian people. They know their best interests, so whatever they accept, we accept and whatever they refuse, we refuse.”

The Syrian National Coalition, which is the recognized Syrian representative at the Arab league, has called for outside military intervention to defeat the Assad regime

The Saudi Campaign to Support Displaced Syrians handed over 200 checks today to 200Syrian refugee families in Lebanon’s Barja area, south of Beirut, to pay the rents for their houses. The Campaign’s Regional Director in Lebanon, Walid Al-Jalal, said in a statement that this comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s initiative to provide $1.8 million in rent money for displaced Syrians.

The Director of the Campaign’s Office in Beirut, Walid Al-Jalal, said in a statement that the Campaign handed out its fourth set of checks today. A total of 68 payments were given to Syrians in Minyah and Deir Ammar in the north of Lebanon.

In a statement issued today, the Director of the Campaign’s Amman Office, Saad Al-Suwayed, reported that the meat was distributed to4,000 families. He added that the Campaign has also distributed 500 sacrificial sheep to Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

The International Islamic Relief Organization of Saudi Arabia (IIROSA), an affiliate of the Muslim World League (MWL), set up a medical center in Yemen that has already provided services to over 16,000 patients. During a meeting yesterday in Sana’a with Acting IIROSA Secretary General Ihsan Tayyib, a number of Yemeni ministers thanked the organization for its continuing assistance to the Yemeni people.

Meanwhile, the IIROSA provided a large quantity of food baskets and blankets to displaced Syrians in the Lebanese city of Tripoli.

The Saudi National Campaign to Support the Syrian Brothers is continuing its housing project in Lebanon, distributing rent money to refugees. In a statement, the Director of the Campaign’s Office in Beirut, Walid Jalal, said that $169,000 worth of lease-checks have been provided to 210 Syrian families. He noted that the project plans to provide $900,000 in checks to 1,100 Syrian families in the coming weeks.

The United Nations General Assembly has passed a draft resolution, submitted by the Kingdom on behalf of 66 member countries, calling for the enhancement and protection of human rights in Syria and the cessation of the killings and atrocities being committed by the Damascus government. As many as 123 states voted for resolution No. A/C.3/68/L.42LRev.1, while 46 states abstained and 13 opposed.

Wednesday’s vote was preceded by a thorough debate on the state of human rights in Syria. Presenting the draft resolution, Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Maalami, expressed sorrow over the killings and abuses being carried out against the Syrian people with conventional and chemical weapons. He reiterated the Kingdom’s disappointment with the international community for its failure to take effective action to end the crisis. Al-Maalami warned that every day the amount of killing, torture, imprisonment, oppression, abductions and rape against Syrian civilians increases, while the Syrian regime uses foreign militias to carry out massacres.

Citing UN reports, he pointed out that more than 100,000 people have been killed, around 9 million have been displaced, nearly half of the Syrian population is in dire need of food aid, polio and epidemic hepatitis are on the rise, and nearly 2.5 million people are being besieged inside Syria. While welcoming international efforts to destroy Syria’s chemical weapons, Al-Maalami denounced as shameful the world’s inaction in the face of these horrific human rights violations.

Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the General Supervisor of the Saudi National Campaign for the Syrian Brothers, has approved a number of urgent relief programs worth more than SR 32 million [$8.52 million] to assist Syrians during the winter season. The Saudi government, represented by the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), signed two cooperation agreements with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Riyadh yesterday. The two pacts will provide $10 million to help Syrian refugees and host communities in Jordan and Lebanon. SFD Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Yusuf Al-Bassam and UNHCR Regional Representative to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States Imran Riza signed the agreements.

(Washington, DC) -- Today, Saudi Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf announced that Saudi Arabia has increased its financial assistance for the Syrian people by $60 million, bringing the total for disbursement during the coming period to $250 million. Al-Assaf made the announcement while addressing the Second International Humanitarian Pledging Conference on Syria held in Kuwait.
Al-Assaf, who led the Kingdom’s delegation to the conference, reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to the Syrian people. He stated, “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is keen to provide support for the Syrian refugees with aid totaling $448 million, about $260 millionof which has already been paid in collaboration with a number of institutions working in the relief field for the Syrian people.”

The International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO), an affiliate of the Muslim World League (MWL), has distributed 10,000 food baskets for Iftar (fast-breaking) meals to Syrian refugees in Egypt since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. According to IIRO Secretary General Ihsan bin Saleh Tayyib, this program will continue until the end of the month.

The Project of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud for Providing Iftar Meals Abroad provides free meals for more than two million fasting Muslims in 41 countries during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative, which began in 1430 H. [2009], distributes more than 35,000 Iftar meals daily.

Prince Saud concluded that the regime of Bashar Al-Assad has lost its legitimacy due to its inhuman practices and policies that have created a fertile environment for terrorism, and; therefore, a solution to this dilemma will not be found, except through its departure from the political scene with those whose hands are tarnished with the blood of the Syrians.”

The project is part of the campaign’s $14.1 million winter supply projects for Syrian refugees. Since July 2012, the campaign has provided $178 million in relief supplies for Syrian refugees.

The Saudi National Campaign to Support the Brothers in Syria has dispatched its 18th convoy of urgent winter relief materials to Daraa Governorate in southwestern Syria, north of the border with Jordan.

The convoy, which entered Syria from Jordan, included more than 25,000 pieces of winter supplies, including blankets and children's supplies, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration and the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. The aid delivery is compliance with U.N. Security Council Resolution 2165 (2014) which authorizes relief delivery across conflict lines and through additional border crossings.

Saudi Arabia and the High Commissioner of the United Nations for Refugees (UNHCR) signed a cooperation agreement under which the Kingdom will contribute $5 million to help the displaced Syrians. This came on the sidelines of the 3rd International Pledging Humanitarian Conference for Syria held in Kuwait today in the presence of the Minister of Finance Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf. The agreement was signed by Saudi Fund for Development representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The funded projects by Saudi Arabia aim to rebuild and rehabilitate a total of 4,650 homes in Damascus, Homs, Hama, Daraa and Idlib, in addition to providing public facilities and services, which will benefit a total of 23,250 displaced Syrians.

Saudi National Campaign to Support Brothers in Syria has dispatched its 28th convoy for displaced civilians in southern Syria. The Campaign's Regional Director Dr. Badr Al-Samhan said that the aid convoy consists of 10 trucks containing 41.6 tons of relief supplies valued at $512,000. The aid convoy is expected to enter Syria across the Jordanian border under the umbrella of U.N. Security Council Resolution 2191.

The Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia welcomed thousands of Syrian Refugees into Saudi for residential stay without any stipulations, confines or Visa, and covered all their expenses and offered them shielding and sheltering



The Syrian Refugees were to choose from either 2 options:

1- That a Saudi citizen appoints the Syrian refugee and allows him to travel in Saudi Arabia, wherever he wills, for a certain period, that is continually extended (like the one carrying a visitors Visa),
or
2- That the Syrian Refugees chooses to be transferred to a large hotel in the city of Samtha (a town and sub-division in Jizan Province, in southwestern Saudi Arabia), where a flat is distributed for each Syrian family, and the government of Saudi Arabia covers his full food, drink, and clothing expenses. It is considered as temporary camps for the Syrians provided and funded by the Kingdom for an indefinite period.



One of the Syrian Refugee's who fleed escaping through the city of San'aa him and his family heading towards the Yemeni/Saudi borders was interviewed and said to "Sham News Network", : "Saudi Arabia greeted us without any conditions nor any constraints and we were treated very well, and the legal procedures to allow me and my family did not exceed more than 3 hours ", The Syrian Refugee pointed out that his passport had expired and nevertheless he and his family had been greeted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia bypassing all the obstacles

Saudi Arabia’s population stood at 30.8 million at the end of 2014, a 2.6 percent rise from 2013, according to data released by the Kingdom’s Central Department of Statistics and Information (CDSI).

There were 20.7 million Saudis, making up 67 percent of the population, while the number of foreigners stood at 10.1 million or 33 percent, according to an analysis conducted by the economics reporting unit of Al-Eqtisadiah.

The highest per capita GDP growth was between 2004 and 2005, when it grew by 23 percent, or from SR43,000 to SR52,800.
According to the analysis, per capita GDP dropped 19 percent between 2008 and 2009, from SR87,600 to SR63,400, as a result of the global financial crisis.

Hundreds of thousands of immigrants from all Islamic countries and others have always been welcomed, whether to ask for a livelihood or to seek knowledge or request asylum or security, and so on. Therefore, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has a significant burden that can not be borne alone manned with this number of migrants. Therefore it creates, provides, and funds refugee camps in Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon and elsewhere for Syrians and others, and as you have seen in my research here the enormous amount of aid and finances that the Saudi government has provided for (Syrian refugees only) which has exceeded billions of dollars let aside all the other nationalities including Yemeni refugees and others that the kingdom is funding and providing housings, camps, and aid for.

In addition to all this information I provided in my research that the majority of the people don't know about whether its the ignoramus haters on the kingdom or the non haters is that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the 16th of March 2015 Saudi has entitled Four million (4,000,000) Burmese residents to obtain "Iqamaah" in Saudi and back in 23rd of March 2013 Prince Khaled Al-Faisal distributed free residency permits (iqamas) to the Burmese community and legalized the status of nearly 500,000 Burmese refugees ! The Saudi government provided Burmese with health care, social services, education and develop their residential areas as part of a comprehensive program. They also train them to get jobs. Also King Abdullah ordered the formation of a ministerial committee for the development of disorganized residential districts in Makkah to improve the situation of Burmese Muslims living in those districts.

So in fact Saudi already has welcomed hundreds of thousands of Syrians, Burmese, Yemnis and others also Saudi tries to decrease extending the visits in order for them to give a chance for other people to make 'umra although they are not implementing this on Syrians !

Al-Luaydaan (Official speaker of the General Department of Passports) said: The extension of visits will be stopped starting from the end of next month Sha'ban except for Syrians living in the kingdom on a visit visa. One of the main reasions on the decision to stop the extension of the arrivals visits, is to provide an opportunity for others who want to make Umrah.

The Saudi Government has also decided Not to deport any Syrian citizen resident on its territory even if his residence permit has expired. The King gave orders not to deport Syrians or trouble them with legal accountabilities or irregularities because of the situation in Syria. This procedure applied to every Syrian in Saudi Arabia.
