Why don’t Western Countries see China as a Democratic Country, but the Chinese think It Is

Man, you live in a democratic European nation

Yeah I do but it is overrated bro.. You can enjoy life via many formats as long as justice is provided and to be honest democracy has alot of short-comings that if I go into it will turn into a book which I will obviously avoid for now not to bore you to death

Taiwan operates a democratic system despite being ethnic Chinese culture.
For the most part of its history, it didn't. and after adpoting western style democracy, it embarked a downward spiral. besides, it's just a small island. small countries do not have the diversity in geography, ethnicity and cultures that continent sized countries have to face, check out India.

You now have a lot in common with North Korea when it comes to governance. I'm not clubbing you and NK together, NK is starving because of Intl sanctions and in way your situation is not at all similar. The situations in North Korea has been explained by countless survivors from North Korea.
In any case, if you're democracy, you fail to handle your shortcomings, someone comes and fix it for you. A lot of the European States have a messed up story some 60, 70, or 80 years back, they pulled through and is some of the best countries to live in where people have their rights and exercise them without retaliation from government or any organization. Nigeria or Haiti may have a messed up story now, they will pull through and be successfull democracies. What I don't see is communist states being most sought after destination.

Yeah, India is a sought-after destination. Especially by women.

You don't have political freedom to criticize your government and leaders, so you don't have the freedom of opposition, therefore you are not a democracy.

No one has the final say about how democracy should be defined, in our eyes, western style democracy is just a democrazy.

No. As regard to political system, Haidi, Liberia, Philippines, and many failed countries, directly copied US model. N.Korea did not copy China's model(Vietnam is more similar to China than N.Korea). Actually China and N.Korea has nothing alike. Be it ideology, econimic policy, government structure. Nothing in common. So banding US with Haidi is more reasonable than banding China and N.Korea.
Philippines failed? When? China now has a full blown dictator. Vietnam had 10 presidents in 40 some years with just one serving more than 5 years. And they have elections to assemblies no, that's not like DPRK nice try.
For democratic countries, some countries fixed their problems. Some didn't. But when you were saying N.Korea didn't fix its problems, you obviously forgot the biggest problem solver on the planet----
Rich countries fixed their problems, developing countries will fix theirs.

Graph showing what percentage of different age cohorts agreed that it was “essential” to live in a democracy. Data based on five waves of the World Values Survey.

Freedom of opposition, checks, balance and separation of powers, are some integral aspects of democracy and the democratic system. What you have in China is dictatorship and it doesn't matter how popular it is. At the beginning of Hitler's reign he had 90% popularity, but he had taken away the democratic rights of the people, so it was no longer a democracy by definition.

No one gives you the right to give definition of democracy, not at least by 1.4 billion Chinese people, we have our ideas of what democracy is, you can stick to yours. Hitler was elected into the power by the foolish mass public, it exactly showed the fatal flaw in western democracy, it's no more than a popularity contest.

You take away the rights of the people to oppose, it is not democracy. This is logical. Single party rule system with no rights to form opposition party or a competing party is political dictatorship. Nobody truthful can call it democracy.

China doesn't have univeral suffrage, but she has draconian selection system on a higher elite level, this prevents the fact that foolish public opinions may lead a country into disasters like what happened to Germany and Italy during WW11, we believe this meritocracy is Chinese style democracy which has been around for thousands of years.

Your system is communist party dictatorship. Even your military takes oath of loyalty to the Chinese Communist party.

If it is not true, you should freely be able to say communist party in China is overrated. Can you? I can say about any party in the West that they are overrated.
