Oh! read Asim's post after mine. I do not intend to make personal comments. Lets limit the discussion to the topic I still wonder how F16's will help against Taliban. Pakistan had procured F16's even before it could find enemy in Taliban.

No surprises if Pakistan is going for weapons cause India is doing the same and no surprises India opposing cause then it can score a point here and there when it comes to dealing with the US, it may come in handy to block bigger defense deals between US & pak

With better F16 we can drop bombs with better Accuracy and Precision on the both borders.

And i think its india's genuine concern about F16 being used against them or their agents.

WHY DOES PAKISTAN NEED F-16s TO FIGHT TALIBAN?

Because in reality they want to build up their defences against India. US giving pakistan F-16's for no reason is far from happening plus US is also skeptical as to how pakistan could arrange for buying F-16s given the current state of its economy. So there is a deliberate and desperate attempt by Pak to show the threat from taliban as an excuse and ploy to win F-16's. Otherwise by whatever millitary logic, F-16 would never be used against Taliban.
