India is viewed with positive vibes, rich culture, diversity and mostly humble people by the west. Whereas Pakistan is viewed as a backward, angry, ultra religious and linked with terrorism by the west.

Pajeet, your kind have hijacked the cousine of your former master's, whom you dispise so much, but fooling the people in the West by marketing it as your native cousine. Since in the west they prefer this kind of food over what could be described as your native veggie food.

The menu of almost all Indian restaurants in the West is full of endless list of meat items like Kebab, Tandoori, Korma, so on.

Whereas in India people get killed for eating meat items because Hindus consider animal meat as Muslim food.

So this begs the question, why make money serving Muslim food to Westerners while you kill minorities at home for eating same food? Isn't it kind of hypocritical?

Are Westerners even aware of the fact that Indian minorities get killed for eating the same food they eat at Indian restaurants?

I know few Pakistanis having their restaurants, even the dishes, all named after India and Indian foods.
So I think it's ok for anyone from the subcontinent to use anyone's name.

don't care who makes my food as long as it tastes good. That being said, there should be more restaurants that cater to people who seek Bangladeshi and Pakistani food...like me.

Firstly, let us understand that 'Food' or cuisine has no religion thus there is no such thing as Hindu, Muslim or Christian food. One can however say that all 'Halal' food is Muslim food. Therefore Middle Eastern, Turkish, Iranian, Afghan, Central Asian, Malaysian, Pakistani & Bangla Deshi cuisine can all be called Muslim foods. Modern North Indian & Pakistani as well as Hyderabadi cuisine is actually based on Mughlai cuisine and since this was the food usually partaken by the affluent society of the subcontinent when the English came to India, they termed it as the 'Indian' food. Indian restaurants are therefore perfectly entitled to serving meat dishes.

Secondly, it is only the follow4ers of Jain religion that are truly vegetarian. Sikhs and also many Hindus eat lamb/mutton. Here is a link to a BBC News article.

If khane didn't have religion than your fellow Indians wouldn't be killed for eating the wrong food, no?

Firstly, let us understand that 'Food' or cuisine has no religion thus there is no such thing as Hindu, Muslim or Christian food.

No point trying to convince me.. in India food clearly has religion since what you eat can mean the difference between life and death.

serves very similar menu full of beef and mutton dishes, which have become "the face of Indian cuisine", and I find that kind of weird because Indians get killed for eating the same food back in India.

Who made that cuisine the 'face of India'? Certainly not veggie munching Gangus. A simple search would tell you India is par excellance the veg country in the world. So what gives?

Well Pakistani's and Bangladeshi's gave the 'face' to this cuisine by branding it as 'INDIAN'. Don't blame Gangus watching on and thinking there is money to be made out of this. If company invented a product and then sold it by using a competitors brand name you would not be surprised if the competitor began also making that product and selling it under it's own brand name - even if it loathed the product.

Certainly Pakistani restaurent will never or as good as never [you might find one or two oddballs who are exception sell their food as 'Pakistan' like as if the name is poison. They will either just use 'Indian' or use other convoluted synonyms like Asian, Apna, Halal etc. And even if they mention Pakistan it will be hyphenated with 'INDIAN'.

All this hawks to weak or confused identity. Just as example of this you can see this on this forum which is by it's nature nationalist - all defence sites tend to be uber-nationalist. But even here you can ses thread on Urdu poetry - but whoever opened it showed that same weak knees and hyphenated it with 'HINDI'. Then the same members will cry from the roof tops that Urdu is a separate language from Hindi.

As I always say. Who said Muslim don't drink alcohol. This BBC article is simply a attempt to 'own' the cuisine as Indian by removing that little anomaly OP brought up. This is like claiming best champagne comes from Saudia Arabia and then citing alcohol consumption in KSA to the befuddled.
