The reason Indian Doctors have stopped leaving is because these "Maut ke Sudagars" in India have manage to flees fees comparable to US markets(if not in real terms then at least in PPP terms), it big business in India.

Its not like there is some state oversight to pull down there pants on exorbitant rates.

It's not about money ...overall environment is what they migrate too....majority are already well settled families but doesn't want to stay in Pakistan ..

More than money, it's the lack of professionalism, lack of respect and undue political interference especially in the peripheral hospitals thats making most of the doctors think about going abroad...

Lack of pay, low salaries, patient attendents attacking Drs, difficulty getting into residency programs, favoritism in training, fcps takes a lot of effort to pass, after passing fcps still salary not as high as one would need more experience.

Acha bas doctor ko hona chahiye baki logo ka achai se koi sarokar nahi. Fees kum leni chahiye,,,, jaise in chindiyo ko lagta hai ke hospitals ke malik doctors hai. 90% pvt hospital businessman aur politicians ke hai. Ikka dukka hospital aur chote nursing homes hi shayad ab doctors ke hote hai.
Magar inko in sab se kya lena dena. Jalte raho.
Aur bhayya karwa lo na ilaaz baba ramdev ya kisi aur jholachaap se.Ayush hai, gow mutra hai, wonsab try kar lena.
Waise chindichori ka koi ilaz nahi hai.

Drama,, more like plain ignorance from ur side. Like i said,, most pvt hospitals r owned by businessmen not doctors. Doctors who Work there are salaried.
For admitted patients in these hospitals,,, other thn consultation fees, visit fees and procedure fee which the doctor gets for his services,,,, everything else is payable to the hospital. Yes the medicine, lab charges,room/bed charges,, everything.
And you are saying about over diagnosing,,, well looking at the rate and legal consequences of so called negligence cases,,,from a doctors point of view it's better to be safe thn sorry. So no wonder they tend to over diagnose.
I am not claiming that everything is hunky dory about docs but majority of allegations r pure rubbish.
During the height of pandemic past year,,, how did price of ppe, oxygen, gloves, sanitizer ls sky rocketed,,our very own aam junta was hoarding like thr was no tomrrw,,traders were profiteering on everything sellable,,,, our society is third rate where human life has little regard.
Ok I agree all health professional r not good... But is that not in every single department out there.
Doctors r no way in competition with the likes of police, lawyers,politicians etc tbh.
And moreover,,,why even go to pvt hospitals,,, there are free govt hospitals Or Just avail the AYUSHMAN BHARAT YOJNA. Buy only generic drugs. Problm solved

Most Indian med students who flock abroad for residencies and fellowships after their medical schooling (MBBS) are typically from mediocre med schools recent times. Majority of med students from AIIMS (top med school in India with campuses in various cities) and other high ranked state med schools tend to pursue their careers in India itself

Aga Khan is the top Medical School in pakistan. I've noticed pretty much every IMG (International med grad) resident of pakistani origin in the US and mostly in UK did their med schooling from Aga Khan. While there is a stark difference in the medical infra between both countries which motivates top med students in India to not go abroad, Is there a reason why Aga Khan students prefer pursuing their careers abroad? Literally 9 out of 10 IMG residents of pakistani origin are from Aga Khan

I personally believe they could make bigger bucks in the home country itself given they graduated from the country's top med school with a scope of pursuing the most competitive surgical fields like neuro/ortho/plastic/CT surgery while here in the US (or UK), they have to resort to less competitive specialties...they definitely can't get into any surgical field in recent times since they're solely reserved for students who did their med school in the US

Seeking is totally different to matching into a residency...IMGs are already at a disadvantage when compared to their AMG counterparts and why would you think programs would opt for students from mediocre institutes over AKU?

For instance, if an IMG from AIIMS applies to a program along with some regular IMG folks despite the later having better credentials, it is a sure shot the AIIMS grad will have better prospects...same applies for AKU. The only difference is a lot of AIIMS grads these days are staying back (contrary to the past where they preferred flocking abroad)

Big name programs do matter and this also applies for AMGs...I've known average students from top med schools like Johns Hopkins match into their preferred choices over grads with stellar profile from regular med schools

my view is if ppl such as our like to be slaves and worship any thing that moves then this their own fault if their punishment comes i cant stand idiot ppl who just worship anyone or few pennies.
