Why is Christianity as popular in Pakistan as it is ?? What does this mean?? Why are people attracted to it, even to the point of rejecting what they experience Islam to be?

I think many Pakistanis do not think of this at all - why do the conscience of so many who were Muslims, are now persuaded that their conscience can no longer find a home in Islam?? What changed? WHY?

While radicalism is now "pop culture" in Pakistan, what are the implications for this and for the appeal of Christianity among the poor and under privileged of society, primarily?

Do we have any evidence of this?

Why do yo say Christianity is popular ? We don't have a significant Christian population ?

As for people being Muslim or Christian (or any faith for that matter) they are becasue there ancestors chose that faith with very very few choosing to change.

I don't which planet you have been on or which country - Why is it that the only way you people respond to things you don't find comfortable, to be in denial, how does that help??

Christianity has grown multifold in Pakistan - Whereas it was a insignificant number in the early years of Pakistan with a majority of Pakistani Christians emigrating from Indian Goa and there was a small number in the Punjab, these numbers are now, in relation to what they had been in the past, significant.

And I would take exception to the suggestion that the growth in the number of Christians in Pakistan is a result of inheriting their confession.

Any facts and figures to back up your claim other than your word ?

In particular, which sect of Christianity is gaining in popularity? Catholics or Protestants?

as a Christian my self i would like to ask muse what the problem if Christianity is growing in Pakistan? are people not free to worship any religion they want?

Well the only person who seemed uncomfortable is you when members asked you for a proof.

As for population .... Is not the population of Pakistan increasing ?

So if Christians are increasing because of that ... NO BIG DEAL

First free advice: NEVER, never be defensive.

I don't think there is anything wrong nor anything right, with the growth in the numbers of any adherents to any confession. I think any country worthy of being called a free country, must guard against any action that will deny the freedom of conscience, I had earlier argued that all freedoms are predicated on responsibility, but that does not apply to Confession - it's an absolute freedom.

Now, lets dig a little deeper - if we are true to the idea that all men's (and women's) conscience is or ought to be free to choose for themselves, the confession they are persuaded by -- we must be conscious that many who were previously Muslim, no longer find a home for their conscience, in that confession - right?? WHY?

The reason to explore this, is not to suggest that any other faith or confession is good or bad, but to ask, to explore, why, how, Islam is failing to respond to the conscience of these persons?

Understand?

So let me get this straight .....................

You want to study the minds of people who leave Islam to become Christians ?

There maybe a few ..... but you will do yourself a favor if you study the people who leave their faith for whatever is thrown at them by pop culture and mainstream media ? You will find more examples of that.... In fact you will find more former Christians than Muslims in that regard.
