Why Can't Boys/Men Cry?

I think Pakistani men are very cultured. Listen to soulful sweet music and complete maniacs on the battlefield. I've seen some vicious people even around the villages. Not so much in the cities these days due to the burger generation.
Ive seen a FC soldier with a bullet in his jaw smilin.. or tryin too... would not forget that dude ever..

Also see the video of this FC soldier .. this is an old vid:

I’m going to start uni next year and looking at the cost it scares me little lol. If I do a Masters and Undergraduates I will owe something like £50,000 however to my understanding it’s something like £30 from your pay slip a month.
I respect your courage to pay it back but would not blame you a single bit if you couldn’t pay all of it back. Uni fees went up by 3X over night, that doesn’t happen anywhere on the planet...
However looking at inflation rate (3%), I don’t think that amount would feel like much by the time we reach 50.

I agree. It is something that may make many people reconsider about going to do Masters after an undergraduate degree, but I wouldn't look at figure that you would owe on its own. I mean you don't even have to pay back anything unless you are earning over a certain figure, and even then, it isn't as much as you would think.

Then on top of this, when you consider that this money is what you took out from someone else's payment or taxes, you realise that it is for the best of society as a whole, and not just in your personal interest. The plus side is, it's not used like normal loans that it would affect your credit rating or anything like that. Education opens the keys to many an avenue, better pursuing it to it's logical end. If that includes Masters, go for it bro.

I will probably go for a Masters, my father tells me the same thing; He came from Pakistan to do his Masters and said he brought pretty much all the savings his family had at the time. He said the amount he paid for University is the amount he earns in less than a week and that you won't even feel it by the time I get to his age.

The good thing is that you have a peace of mind; if you fail to repay your loan within 25 years, it gets forgiven (I think it's 25 years).
The loan only takes out something like £30 of your monthly income.
The loan money pays for the future generations.

I want to work in the UK for the first ten years of my career then move to the Middle East, life is much better there. Tax free income, larger houses and vehicles. Overall a better standard of living. My father works in the Middle East and I got to live there for 4 years. Best time of my life (up to now).
It's close to Pakistan and not too far from the UK, just perfect.

Agreed sir but i would like to share my past practice, whenever I was broken I used washroom as a private place and cried as much as I can but in a silent way :)

I have never cried in a washroom ........ that place is for smoking and not shedding tears :D

i do cry(get teared up, not crying like a child) when I feel upset, it happens very rarely.... I dont have issues with being more acceptable but i dont like to see people cry(whether men or women) because i cant find a good way to deal with it..
as I grow older the chance of being upset over things is getting less... you tend to accept things as they are..

the more frequent reason for me crying is senti movies.... and sometimes they are not even overtly bollywoodish sentimental...

I don't know about the rest of your post, but I also find it very awkward when someone is crying near me. I just don't know what to do or how to handle it. I might be emotionally retarded.

Here’s why men do not cry as much

We have all heard growing up that real men do not cry. And while it seems like a societal attitude, which perhaps we need to get rid off, it turns out that there is an actual physical reason why men tend to cry less than women.

And, as it turns out, it has nothing to do with societal expectations that men should be rough and tough but indeed has a lot more to do with male hormones.

A researcher in Holland, Professor Ad Vingerhoets decided to conduct a study to better understand human tears.

According to his findings women cry between 30 and 64 times a year, and men only cry between six and 17 times each year.

So what could be the reason?

Speaking to a leading English portal, psychologist Georgia Ray said that there are clear sociological and physiological reasons for men crying less than women.

According to her, men have significantly lower levels of prolactin (hormone related to emotional tears) as compared to women.

The cultural reason, according to her is that societal stereotypes discourage men to weep.

According to her, men do have less of the hormone that enables humans to cry emotional tears, and when men do, society judges them.

Interestingly, while human tears come from a myriad of reasons, scientists are still baffled about why crying is a useful human phenomenon.

I end up resorting to making people laugh at funerals. At that point I come off as insensitive. I don't mean disrespect, but I try to change the mood. As a human being, especially a Muslim, your entire life will be a struggle until it's over. You can either spend the struggle in pain or make the best of it and enjoy the ride.

Crying is form of relieving stress. People that hold it in tend to be angrier. The people you have to watch out for are those that laugh, because they are truly the most depressed people.

It relay don't matters. Dark-Psychology can translate it either way... if one happened to on the wrong side of the line
1- If you cry the drak-psychology will interpret it as one being too weak to face the challenges
2- If don't you cry the drak-psychology will interpret it as one being stone heated.
similarly is one happen to be on favorable side of the line...
1- If you cry the drak-psychology will accommodate him as one being kind hearted.
2- If don't you cry the drak-psychology will accommodate it as one being strong.

On the other end of the spectrum, I've seen people cry out of joy. I think that is a topic that is often unexplored.

Khushi ke anso ect.

Malfunctioning notifications. ..

Or when I see the amount of student loan I have left.
@Sher Shah Awan and @Garfield can probably relate.

Thankfully no student loans to repay or cry over.

Punjabis are way too happy and joking to be crying and emotional. We get the occasional thug tear. Just one.

You are a Punjabi Johnny Bravo 8-)

People should cry yet celebrate the life of the passed.

I don't like it when women let themselves cry. You are a very sensitive person. People exploit you. They use you and abuse you.

Look at the threads you start.
Shopkeeper cheated me
Girls in university used me for group project

Ect.

The point I am trying to make is that you put yourself in these positions of weakness to be exploited. That is something you have to work on. Having pity for yourself never works because people see you as someone that can be deceived and easily stepped on.

Ask @Sher Shah Awan

He knows I'm saying some very truthful things to you, but being the sensitive person you are, you will get angry instead of taking the wisdom. That's your choice.

Yes agree pretty much. But you know bro many women are hyper sensitive and can't handle situations as easily as we men think. Constant guidance and hand holding is required to toughen them up and time too!

I love your motivation.

What field are you in? If finance/business, then seriously don't waste time and money doing masters. Go for professional qualification instead!
